Overall story starts strong and for around the first 80-90 chapters had me hooked on the whole psychopathic behavior and such. However it takes a turn and he start gathering a “team” which just basically turns into a harem. Kind of disappointing but if your into that 🤷♂️. Overall I’m done with it. Wish yall best of luck if you wanna read
I'm glad to see we are getting another Zentmeister gem. I'm personally not a fan of zombie/apocalypse stories, but I didn't think I'd like ToS either, and I ended up reading it a couple of times, so I'm sure this will be great, too and even I will end up enjoying it so give it a read! ^^
i like big harem......which is here i hate yuri.........which is not here i like win CEST.which is not here i like ruthless mc ...which is here i like good plot...... which is here i like romance .......which is here i like good character development ........which is here so I Dont need any more reasons to give 5stars
I like the harem, but if they are going to give the MC such an ability I prefer him to be a lone wolf, I feel that women only slow him down. I could add girls when he was strong but at the beginning I see him as very silly and even more so with creatures like the "stalker" that I could kill him because of the women (I'm only on chapter 20, let's hope it improves)

This one is like the anime I've watched a long time ago, the title is high school of the dead if I'm not mistaken. the beginning is similar to that anime.
This book reminds me of cross Lord of the Flies and The Walking Dead. Both are cult classics. This novel will never stand along side those classics due to Webnovel’s “System” influence. That being said, the novel is an entertaining read. Bad boy and outcast Zane leads his rag tag group of survivors of a zombie apocalypse through a PG 13 dystopian tale. Don’t consume food while reading this novel as it contains scenes of well written graphic gore and suggestive sexual imagery 😂 Don’t take my word for it, enjoy the read for yourself as the first 20 chapters are a great teaser. I wish the author great success with this novel and hope the next book they write can stand without any Webnovel’s flaws because there’s a lot of talent in this book.
Oh, here we go again. The author needs to do something about this, I noticed that the author (in my opinion) has trouble choosing suitable pictures for the main page. I've seen pictures of his work that aren't the best. In my opinion, he needs to insert something more beautiful, more striking, something more unique, something that would catch your eye and appeal to you when scrolling through the page looking for something to read. The first thing you notice when looking for something to read (besides the tags) is the picture and the title; that's where you form your first impression. The author's titles are fine, but he has issues with the pictures; they all look too dull and appear as if they were drawn by hand. I would advise the author to seriously consider this and look for or generate something beautiful that will definitely attract attention just because of its beauty.
the mc reaaaaaaally reminds me of Andrew Graves, didn’t dissuade my head canon that he acts and looks like his post-canon counterpart too.
im getting a lot of good vibes from this zombie novel and i can tell its going to be a nice Zentmeister gem based on what i read so far. looking forward to more updates and seeing were the our main character goes
Review: A Cringeworthy Power Fantasy Disguised as a Zombie Apocalypse Novel I really tried to give this light novel a chance, but after 40 chapters, I just couldn’t take it anymore. What could have been an interesting premise—a protagonist using both zombies and humans to create chaos and grow stronger—ends up as nothing more than a self-indulgent power fantasy riddled with absurd coincidences and terrible writing. Everything is Just Too Convenient From the very start, the story throws ridiculous luck at the MC. He just happens to stumble upon a well-equipped police officer who had a gun. And of course, he manages to kill him… with a small blade. Why? Because he apparently had a “tough childhood.” That’s it. No actual combat experience, no logical explanation for his ability to stay calm under pressure—just “I was bullied, so now I’m a ruthless killer.” Cringe and peak Chunibyo. The MC is Supposedly “Cold and Calculating,” But Acts Like a Wannabe Alpha Instead of actually developing himself, using strategy, or even making use of the system and the zombie outbreak to gain power, the MC does nothing but hoard weapons and collect women for his forced harem. The novel desperately wants us to believe he’s some kind of mastermind, but all he does is gather a bunch of brain-dead followers while acting like a generic “dark and edgy” protagonist. Side Characters Are Completely Useless The supporting cast might as well be brainless zombies themselves. They exist only to praise the MC, get saved by him, or serve as stepping stones to highlight how “badass” he is. The world is supposedly in chaos, yet somehow, only the MC is capable of doing anything remotely effective. It’s just lazy writing. The Author is Clearly Living Out His Fantasies Let’s be honest—the whole novel reads like it was written by someone who was bullied and now wants to self-insert as the ultimate revenge-fantasy character. The harem, the ridiculous power scaling, the forced edgy backstory—it all screams wish fulfillment. If the MC had at least been a former soldier, special forces, or someone with actual training, his actions might have made sense. But no, just being “traumatized” is enough to make him an elite killer, apparently. Final Verdict: A Waste of Time I went in expecting a smart, strategic MC who manipulates both humans and zombies to rise in power. Instead, I got an edgelord collecting scraps while pretending to be a ruthless “lone wolf” leader. This is nothing more than a poorly written fantasy of an author who clearly never moved past his teenage angst. Unless you enjoy cringe harem stories with zero logic, I wouldn’t waste my time on this.
it is ok, the idea for it is good, but the author does not do a good job of writing it out, stop reading it cause of how the personality of his characters are
Don't bother trying to read this, this story has no future, it is dead. You are only going to get yourself stressed and frustrated, I beg you to save yourself the trouble and don't get started, as you wouldn't be able to finish it and the author never planned to finish this like many other authors. Don't be like me coming back every now and then to see if there are any updates.
Senseless novel, it makes no sense that Elena has greater strength than the protagonist when the latter has a muscular physique. In the first chapters, then I don't know but this is enough to know that the author does not know what he is writing. Oh, and the protagonist is unbearable, pathetic and narrow-minded and weak, because believing that all people are equal only because of a past trauma is someone who is not able to see beyond it.

I, Kurupts, deem myself the FIRST READER for this webnovel - that will surely blow up! But for real though, this webnovel - truly is an amazing read so far, with a cold MC (Zane) who actually stays true to his character and puts his survival above everybody else. Surprisingly, everything is really balanced - with the abilities and system given to the survivors who consume a “Blood Crystal”. Anyway, overall splendid story, writing quality, consistent chapters, world background, ect ect ect. I highly recommend it!
