บท 224: Probing*

Swallowing nervously, Mother Rui stepped in and closed the door behind her. 

It wasn't until she sat down on a chair beside the bed that she took a careful look at Su Hai's countenance. Unlike other women in the island whose skin was rough and dark from years of physical labor, Su Hai looked fair and young, so young that Mother Rui doubted whether she had come of age yet. 

Recalling what she had come here for, she couldn't help but fiddle with the hem of her shirt, nervous and tense.
