Assar hurriedly changed into the clothes Oksana had given him. Once again, just like in the carriage he had smelled her arousal wafting off of her in waves. This time it was when he had come out half-naked. What was he thinking?!

“Could she really be that attracted to me?” Assar thought incredulously.

How did he feel about that? A vampire being attracted to him? A tainted half-blood who had been killing her kind for decades? It flew in the face of logic. That wasn’t even considering the physical differences. She was beautiful. Assar had never seen a woman more perfect in his entire life. Then there was him. Scarred horribly, both physically and mentally. It made no sense for someone like her to be drawn to him.

But despite everything he knew about her, as a hunter he knew one thing even more concrete. Scents didn’t lie, and the smell of her arousal was so strong he didn’t even need to enhance his senses to smell it!
