บท 8: The Creature
"Miyura! Come here!"
Yagi's group shouted from a far. Notify their party leader, Masato and his group. After a moment, they catch up with Yagi's group.
"Look what we found."
"It must be it. There's nothing on the other side." Miyura tries to fit his body into the small passage.
"Shit. I guess me and Yagi doesn't fit in here. Calum, Seichi, make sure to keep them safe. I'll try to find another way around."
"Sure. See you on the other side, Leader."
Calum, the guy who carries a staff leads the way through. Masato and Asami gives an appreciation then goes through the small passage. Seichi, the last guy that carries a bow keep up the rear.

'Minotaur..?! Holy God, we need to get out of here quickly.'
Kurt's blood pumped up seeing the system tray. He grabbed Ryu's hand then tried to head back from where they came earlier. Kurt touched the ground, nothing there, not even a single crack. The stairs is gone, it became a plain stone floor.
"No no no.." Kurt's mumble.
"W-what's wrong? Why are you panicking, Kurt?" She pulls her hand from Kurt's grip.
"This is a trap. It's lead to a minotaur hideout."
*dum dum dum*
"H-huh? How dー.."
"Try using your skill."
'[Clairvoyance].' Ryu activates her detection skill. She saw a big silhouette walking towards them.
"Well, it's still far from here."
"Yeah, but it will eventually comes in here.. We need hurry to find an exit." Kurt looks toward all directions but he couldn't find anything but a line of stone walls.
「Boss Battle Emerged」
「Kill the boss to turns up the exit」
"No, we need to set a trap or something to fight it." After saw the system tray, Kurt's undermined his plan to escape.
"H-how do we even fight it? With just a B and a D-rank, our chances are small."
"I got an idea.. Ryu, I need you to climb over that stone. When I give you the signal, shoot the ceiling above me and take out everything you have to the minotaur." Kurt pointing a big stone that enough to gives Ryu viewpoint around the cavern.
"Are you serious?" Ryu shocked a bit after heard Kurt's plan.
"Pretty much, yeah.. Come on, before I change my mind." He giggles.
"Don't die in here, little ruckus." She pulls Kurt's shirt, then she walks toward the huge stone.
Kurt felt his chest tightened by the look of Ryu to him when she said that. The look that he has experienced it with. The look from his one and only family that made him survived. The look from his beloved grandfather.

Charging a minotaur alone. Did he out of his mind? Come on, Asami, where are you?

It's here. I'm pulling out my bow and keep my eyes toward the stomping direction. I seeing Kurt's figure at my eyes corner. He takes out the mysterious dagger, then he tries to pull it from the stone. Oh my god.. The stomping is getting closer. You better finish it quickly, Kurt.
*dum*
It stopped. Why did the minotaur stopped? When I looked at the far end of the cavern, I can see it silhouette at the end of the shadow. It standing still.
"Come here ugly..!"
Wait, Kurt. Where's the mysterious dagger..?
*dum dum dum*
The minotaur start runs toward Kurt. I can see it figures. It is a big cow headed humanoid and carrying some sort of stone pillar at his back..? I draw my arrow at my bow then infuse it with magic, and aim it at the ceiling above Kurt. Now I need to wait for Kurt's signal.
*dum dum*
*"Graawr!"* It getting close to Kurt.
"Now, Ryu!" He yell it while he leap backward.
"[Precision Strike]." I release my magic arrow.
*swoos* *boom!*
"W-we did it..?" Is that it? Damn, there's too much dust covering it. Ah, wait [Clairvoyance]. Yeah, it still alive.
"It still alive, Kurt." I warned him when he walked toward the epicenter.
"Whaー.."
*"Graa!"* *woosh*
I saw it swipe the dust clean. I draw my arrow again but before I take the shot, something appears above it. It looks like a skull of some creature built from the ceiling. Oh my god, I think it's the juggernaut.
*slash* *bugh*
I could saw Kurt flies by the swung of the juggernaut. It killed the minotaur but I afraid it also killed Kurt.
"K-kurt..!"

Yes! My plan worked. Did it killed it? All I can see is dust covered where the stalactites hit the minotaur.
"W-we did it..?" I heard Ryu getting surprised. I don't blame her. I heard from grandpa that a Minotaur should be around the floor 15.
「Kill the boss to turns up the exit」
"It still alive, Kurt." Oh my god.
"Whaー.."
*"Graa!"* *woosh* Ugh.. It created a small shockwave. I need to step back.
「The Dungeon environment is broken」
「Releasing Juggernaut」
Y-you mean the dungeon's guardian..?! You gotta be kidー..
*slash* *bugh*
"K-kurt..!"
Huh? Why her voice is getting so far. I feels my body flying. I think I flies across the cave. After a moment, I felt pain in my back. I hit the stone walls, isn't it? What is that, earlier? The shockwave made me flies far away. I tried to get up on my feet. Ugh, my back..
"W-where's my dagger..?"
Shit, I must be loosened it after getting that shockwave. I'll take the one that still stuck on the stone.. Come on, stupid dagger. Ryu's in danger, god damnit.
*crash*
I did it..? M-my strength, I don't think I can hold myself. I try to walk a little further but I can feel my eyelid getting heavier and heavier. My bodies also getting swayed until I can't hold it anymore. I can only see a pitch black conquered my vision.

Ugh.. Juggernaut's shockwave, it is so terrible. I grips the stone hard with my both hands to hold it. After it ends, I can see the juggernaut pulling back its skull to the ceiling. It gone.. Why its only killed the minotaur..?
"O-oh, Kurt."
I hop to the ground. I take a quick look at the minotaur bodies, then I run towards Kurt. When I arrived, I saw Kurt's body facing the ground. He's fainted..or dead? I rolls his body to check he's breathing or not.. Phew, he's still breathing.
I take his body to near the stairs earlier. Then I take a sit next to him. I saw something took my attention. Kurt's hand, is he holding his dagger? Why is he holding it while he's fainted? Nevermind I'm hungry, better save my energy.
*crack*
Suddenly, I heard rumbles from the stairs. I take my stances with my bow ready. Please be Asami or Masato. While I'm waiting with a tense atmosphere, someone's head poped out. He wears a glasses but it wasn't Masato.
"W-who are you..?"
