Crystal's POV

The spicy taste of chili touched my taste pallets and I shivered.

Shit.

My eyes snapped in Valentine's direction as he cupped his throat and squeezed it slowly. Violent coughs escaped his mouth that shook his entire frame. His ears and nose turned red while eyes watered uncontrollably. It took me seconds to snap out of the daze and jump on my feet. Reaching his side in seconds, I rubbed his back and cupped his mouth. A morsel was stuck in his throat blocking his vocals while the spicy taste kept him from breathing. With next cough, he spits it out and I immediately discarded it on his plate. Taking a full glass of chilled water, I offered it to him. His hands shook as he tried to hold the glass, so I helped him in drinking it.

"Does he have any medicine for this?" I yelled panicked at the two men who were still frozen on their seats looking at us horrified. It was Victor who jumped from his chair and ran upstairs to fetch medicines.
