It was lovely to see Livy so happy. There was power there unlike anything I’d seen from her before but knew in my bones was there if she would only let it out. She was really coming into her own beautifully. I couldn’t know how much the trip had to do with it, with both its highs and its lows, but there seemed to be some influence.

“Is everything okay?” I asked her, as Hope started squirming in her arms yearning to be free.

Livy set her down and Hope crawled away at top speed to see what she might get into. Jenny, Luke, and Carl followed close behind.

“Quite an entourage she’s got,” I said as we watched them go.

“She can be a real handful.”

“Just like you,” I said, giving her a smoldering look.

“Daddy,” she whispered, sounding both surprised and aroused.

“I’m here,” I said, taking her firmly by the hips.

She bit her lower lip and looked up at me, her beautiful innocent eyes making me want to cry from sheer joy.
