Her mind raced, trying to focus on multiple things simultaneously. First, she wondered how they had suddenly appeared inside the room without walking. And then, there was the unnerving way Kael was gazing at her, making her want to hide her face. His black hair fell seductively on his pale face, and water dripped slowly down to his chest, drawing her attention. Jacquelyn's eyes followed the trail of water, noticing his curved lips, which revealed his fangs with every grin. Her gaze drifted to the gentle rise on his throat, which moved up and down, making her gulp softly.
