บท 41: Don't die

Kael turned his face, his eyes falling on the girl who was trembling behind him. Giving her a small smile, without words, he moved with unfathomable speed, cutting through the witches. When he stopped at the end, half of the witches fell to the ground with their hearts ripped out of their chests.

"Don't be slow; impress me," Kael raised his bloodied hands tiredly. "Fine, come over; I'll wait."

The leader of the witches, who was the man in charge, was left speechless, seeing his own tribe lying dead on the ground. He moved back.

"Stand back, don't fight the Vampire King... we will use our spell to protect the wanderers. Let them fight him," the man ordered. Just as he said it, the other witches joined him, forming a circle. They sat on the ground, moving their staffs forward so their orbs would touch. The friction brought about a bright red light that illuminated the whole place. The witches started chanting spells in low voices.
