บท 27: Chapter 27: I need to change my tactics!
The cart slowly trots towards the General's Mansion. Soon, after reaching there, Yutao shows the General's amulet at the entrance. The two guards appalled upon seeing the amulet, immediately stepped back and bowed, showing their respect to their higher authority.
They then let the carriage passed through. The two henchmen grabbed the culprit and came down from the carriage. They dragged the culprit towards the dungeon. There the culprit's both hand were forcefully tied to the metals that lie on the wall, they then tied down his legs. The Culprit struggled hard to escape but all his efforts were in vain.
The General's men began their tortured with it. They immediately fetched a bucketful of ice-cold water and instantly splashes onto the culprit, making him shivered and lose his senses for a while.
Yutao then questioned him with his glaring eyes, "Shoot! How are you related to the Eagle Bandit? Tell me everything you know!"
The Culprit trembled in fear and shivered in extreme coldness. He then replied in nervousness, "I am innocent. Please, Let me go"
Yutao sighed in displeased at it, "Tch! Still acting up innocent?!".
He scowled at the Culprit and stated infuriatedly, "You are not having enough, aren't You?".
Yutao instructed his men in furiousness, "Men, begin the torture. Make him loosen his tongue!"
The General's men immediately followed his words and begin to torture the culprit. They took out the red hot metal and put it onto his skin, making him screamed in pain. They then splashed the ice-cold water on his body, making him shivered. As the tortured was getting on its extreme, the culprit unable to bear the pain anymore finally spoke up in pain, "Wait.... Please...don't! I'll tell....I'll tell!".
Upon hearing his confession, Yutao immediately arose and approached the man. He raised his brows and demanded hotly, "Speak up!".
Just as the Culprit was opening up his mouth, about to speak up, a sharp needle shape weapon immediately pierced right through his neck, making him to die at that instant.
Startled by the incident, Yutao instantly rushed towards the Culprit. Upon finding him, losing his breath, he searched around the area.
His eyes were then staring at the top of the dungeon. There he saw a slight whiff of someone in black fleeing the place. Alarmed by it, he immediately make his commands, "Quick! Catch the assassin!".
All of the General's troops, went moving around the Mansion, in search of the Assassin. They searched every high and low places of it but were off a bit late. The Assassin had already fled.
The General's troops came to Yutao and reported, "Master Yutao, the Assassin had already escaped the place. We are unable to trace it"
Yutao sighed at it in disappointment, "Tch! What a waste!"
He soon turned and examined the dead body. There, he found a small needle-like a spot on the dead man's neck. Alerted by it, he blurted out in alarmed, "Looks like their people are skilled. With just one swift blow, they instantly killed the men!"
The General's men then inquired Yutao in troubled, "What shall we do next? Master Yutao?!"
Yutao gave his replied to it, "For now, buried the men. We'll then wait for the news!"

On the other side of the story.....
At Zhang's Wei's Residence...
It was late morning, the sun was already at its peak. The Wicked Woman regained her consciousness and slowly opened her eyes. She soon got up and quickly tossed aside the cloak and strolled the area. There was no one in the house, looks like Zhang Wei had went out to fetch some rare herbs.
Since it was the case, she quickly came up with one of her scheming, "Hmmm! Looks like the Mighty Zhang Wei has gone out! That's my chance!"
She hastily went towards the kitchen and started to prepare the noodle soup. It looks like the Wicked lady did never felt a little bit of sympathy towards the famous Alchemist Zhang Wei.
Attempting to kill him, she didn't waste any efforts. This time, she put the Mythical beast meat on to the noodle soup in the hope that it'll instantly burn down Zhang Wei, as it did to her.
The tempting smell of the noodle soup was overflowing in the air. Zhang Wei, as he returned home, was left delighted by the tempting smell. He surged inside the house in hopefulness.
The Wicked Woman fakes a smile as soon as she saw Zhang Wei, rushing in. She then spoke up cheerily, "You have arrive!"
Zhang Wei, seeing her enchanting face smiled back and replied in keenness, "What are you cooking?"
The Wicked Woman reacted consciously, "Ah! It's the noodle soup! I was waiting for you. Quick, Come let's eat"
Zhang Wei smiled at it and was soon seated to the dining table.
The Wicked Woman took out the soup and laid it on the table. She then spoke up with her foxy smile, "You can eat now. Hope you like it"
The Wicked Woman gave him the beasts meat noodle soup, while she was enjoying the normal soup.
Zhang Wei happily pulled up his sleeves, grabbed the chopsticks and started gobbling down the noodle soup. His face instantly changed as soon as he grabbed a bite. His gentle smile quickly swapped and his face was burned in fury. His deep, doubtful eyes gazed intensely at the Wicked Woman, which was sitting before him, waiting for him to react.
He turned unbelievably at it and gobbled down the entire noodle soup at one go. He finished it up and put down the bowl, 'Bam!'
Startled by his behaviour, the Wicked Woman eyes widened up and spoke up in alarmed, "What?! You done already?!"
Zhang Wei immediately stood up at it and reacted sober, "Yes, I am done. Now, I'll go to refine a new elixir. Do not disturb me"
Not even turning back for once, Zhang Wei instantly leaves the spot.
The Wicked woman stood up quickly at it and reacted incredibly, "Eh...??!.. Well.....?!"
Before she could uttered another word, Zhang Wei have already left the place. The Wicked lady, gazed fiercely as he leaves and sat back.
She was left musing in her own thoughts, 'This beast meat didn't have any effects on the master of elixirs. Tch! I underestimate him. How can I forget that he has a good qi foundation?! Good thing, he didn't find out! Otherwise, I am done!'
She then made up her mind, "Since this is the case, I need to change my tactics! Zhang Wei...Zhang Wei. I am not giving up on you, your prowess will soon be mine!"
