บท 22: Chapter 22 - BACK TO HIM?
Becca slowly walked down the hall to her room. The closer she got to her room, the faster her heart beat. She came home very late and she thought about what Tommy was doing right now. She hoped Tommy was asleep so she wouldn't have to have a conversation with him.
When the door opened, it was dark in the apartment. It was not completely dark, but there was dim lighting that was specially made to turn on at night. Usually, this would indicate that one of them was asleep, but Becca wouldn't believe it because she had been caught red-handed by Tommy, who was apparently waiting for her in this kind of lighting.
However, Becca saw Tommy, who apparently had actually fallen asleep on the sofa with a rather disorganized appearance. He was still wearing clothes since the morning she saw him. Tommy had a bottle of alcohol in his hand and his tie had loosened around his neck.
Watching her ex-boyfriend's mess made Becca feel guilty. If it was true that Tommy really wanted to be with her, it meant she was really wrong to refuse. But it was all over and she couldn't take her words back until Tommy really showed his seriousness.
There was a desire inside her to tidy up the mess, but Becca chose to be tough with Tommy. She also chose to sleep in the bedroom because the sofa was already occupied by him. Without changing her clothes either, Becca went straight to sleep because she was quite tired from everything.

In the morning Becca woke up to hear a voice that was quite noisy with the smell of cooking that she had never heard before. Her eyes twinkled and she half moved, staring out the door.
No more mistakes. All she smelled was the smell of cooking and someone was cooking something in the kitchen. Reluctantly she got up and started walking outside. She was quite surprised when she saw that Tommy was apparently cooking something.
"Morning, Rebecca. I made breakfast for both of us," Tommy greeted kindly. He even smiled at her.
Noticing the oddity, Becca looked confused. She walked to the kitchen and reached the coffee machine.
"And I've made coffee for you too with full cream. Right?" said Tommy, adding.
Becca could only be silent for a few moments. She then looked at her coffee cup and brewed it. The taste of full cream coffee was really following what she liked.
"Thank you," Becca said curtly.
"Today the office is off," said Tommy informed.
"What? You took the office off? What about all the unfinished work? And-"
"Off day to all who are tired the last few days. I think it's worth it for them," Tommy said, cutting her off.
Becca still couldn't think straight knowing Tommy's thoughts. Even though he was the boss and owner of his own company, he should not arbitrarily dismiss employees.
"Don't worry, I also ordered them to work from their place. So I'm monitoring them," said Tommy as he pointed towards the dining table where the laptop was already open and the screen was on and showing profile photos of his employees.
Becca swallowed. Her hunch was telling her something she didn't expect would happen. She and Tommy would spend the day together while she didn't have any agenda. Because what she knew was that they would work as usual in the office.
"Forget about last night's proposal. I'll take it as not yet the time for you to answer mine."
Becca began to feel awkward. She took another sip of her coffee and decided to take a shower to relieve her nervousness.
She started the shower and breathed slowly. She paced in front of the bathroom mirror, looking at herself who looked so nervous. She bit her nails as a sign that she was very nervous because of Tommy's behavior.
"How is it? I never thought he would change so drastically!" she asked.
"Would I be able to deal with him like this? And this is what I wanted! He's chasing after me! But why does it feel so fast?"
She touched her head. Then she started to take a breath and kept doing that until she was completely calm. Only then did Becca start taking a shower and reassure herself that she was ready for anything after this.
Only breakfast but it looked so luxurious. That was what Becca thought when she saw Tommy had everything ready. She had not been treated so special in a long time. And because those special things had long passed, so when she saw him again, she looked shocked.
"You make breakfast like we're at a hotel, Tom," Becca said. She started to put her ass on the chair in front of Tommy.
"Isn't that what we always do? Breakfast like a hotel?"
Becca was taken aback. Her lips gaped open and then she woke up from her shock. "Old story. I don't feel impressed by this kind of thing anymore. Things are changing."
Becca felt like laughing triumphantly after saying those words. Because the look on Tommy's face really looked bad. He was offended by what she said, but he did it on purpose.
"You'd better finish your breakfast, then we'll go to your parents' house," said Tommy, staring at his laptop screen.
Becca choked in surprise. "What? You're taking me to my parents' house?"
"Well, your parents called me several times to take you home. So I had no choice. I packed your things in the car this morning. So, after this we just have to go," explained Tommy.
Like getting karma really instant, she was so annoyed with him. It was not that she didn't want to see her parents, but what would she say if they came home and asked about the progress of their relationship?
"Act like we're still together, Rebecca. Besides, I'm sure it's only a matter of time until you don't want to come back to me."
Becca's eyebrows shot up. "Back to you? Did you just ask me back?"
บท 23: Chapter 23 - SOMETHING NOT EXPECTED
The man in front of her... She meant her ex-boyfriend, laughing at the question from Rebecca's tiny lips. He didn't even answer Becca's question but shook his head as if something was wrong with her.
"You'd better eat your breakfast and let's go," said Tommy.
Becca, without feeling nervous, shrugged her shoulders nonchalantly. In fact, in her heart, she was really curious about whether Tommy really asked her to come back to him or not.
"Before going to your parents' house, let's go to mine first. Lily really wants to meet you."
Lily was Tommy's mother. A middle-aged woman who really liked Becca and even treated her like her only daughter. And they hadn't been home in a long time.
"You weren't there all this time?" Becca asked.
Tommy shook his head. "With you is the last time."
"Hah ... you're a total jerk, Tom. You should have visited your mother."
"Don't you remember my vow that I would come home if I was with you?"
Becca blinked a few times until she remembered Tommy's vow that he would not come home if not with her.
Huft ... Becca sighed. Living with Tommy... No, she meant, during her relationship with Tommy, she realized that her ex-boyfriend was really a man who was full of promises and never broke.
She could see that there was a true side to Tommy. That showed the man being held in his speech. And Tommy really proved it.
"If there's something good to do, you shouldn't have to wait for me. It's a good thing to visit your parents, you should know that," Becca advised.
"I'll think about it. Coming back home with you is peace, Rebecca. The only difference is it's in the apartment that might be the exception."
Tommy's cell phone beside him, which Becca could see on the screen, rang. Paige's name appeared on the screen of her cellphone, making Becca's heart feel like it was gone for a moment.
Tommy, who realized there was an oddity, immediately grabbed it and then hung up the call. He also turned his phone screen upside down.
"Hmm... why don't you pick it up? Maybe your new girlfriend needs you," Becca asked.
She didn't expect Paige to still have the courage to contact Tommy. She did give her a condition not to appear before Tommy again, but who knew that she was still calling him? It sucked.
This makes Becca reluctant to be friends with her again. Maybe she should cut off her friendship again after Paige begged her.
"I told you, I'm not dating her. Not even anyone!" said Tommy, exclaiming.
Several times Becca sighed and then she finished her breakfast which was still quite a lot left. She had absolutely no appetite after seeing Paige's name on the screen for herself.
"If you've finished with your laptop, we'd better get going. The sooner, the better," said Becca. She stood up and started to enter the room.
With a body that she felt shaken at the name Paige, Becca hurriedly grabbed a change of clothes and went into the bathroom. And there she began to cry silently.

Never blame girls if their mood has turned sour. Moreover, the main cause is jealousy of the presence of other girls in her relationship with her partner.
Becca realized that she and Tommy were no longer dating, but fellow exes. But what made her so hurt, again and again, was when the cause of her breakup came back.
If girls remember something that hurts their hearts, they will remember it forever. Especially infidelity that is clearly visible in front of their own eyes.
When Becca thought she had cried enough for herself, she washed her face and was silent for a few moments until she felt that all was well.
Coming out of the bathroom, apparently, Tommy was ready. Just wait for Becca and she'll use that time to make up to refocus on her revenge.
"Lily's outside. So we'll meet her outside," Tommy announced.
"Okay."
The short answer was enough for Becca considering she wanted to ignore Tommy as much as she could. But for Tommy, the short answer was the beginning of doom.
"Don't you want to buy something for her?" asked Tommy.
"Yeah, we can stop at the bakery as usual."
Tommy's jaw tightened at the short answer Becca gave him. Even though she seemed ordinary, he knew that there was something out of the ordinary about Becca from the moment she saw Paige's name appear on the screen of his phone.
He waited quietly on the edge of the bed playing with his phone while Becca stole glances at him in the mirror. She was ready with her makeup but the zipper on the back of her body was not completely closed.
"Tom, can you help me close the back zipper?" Becca asked.
Tommy lifted his head. He saw Becca's back, which was exposed. He stood up and so did Becca. Then she put her hair aside for a while with silence and thoughts that were starting to run wild, Tommy closed the zipper slowly.
But suddenly his hand stopped, he touched her smooth back and suddenly he turned Becca's body.
His breath was already ragged. They looked at each other and Tommy returned his focus to his ex-girlfriend's lips. He had been wanting to make love to her for a long time. Ask her to go back to the great sex. He knew making love would reduce everyone's sense of gold, and according to Tommy, asking Becca to come back after sex was the right thing to do.
When their lips were about to touch, even though they had greeted each other for a while, Becca immediately turned around and covered her back.
She knew that Tommy was looking for an opportunity to touch her lips with his and that Becca, who had been teasing him on purpose, had managed to thwart Tommy's lust.
Tommy grumbled and cursed in annoyance at the same time. He even chuckled while thinning his lips because of his failure.
"I'm ready, come on, let's go," she said triumphantly.
