“I’m so sorry, I was on the phone, a business call, and I couldn’t hang up.” Greg said with sincere apology
“Buddy, I’m on a schedule. Let’s get this in the house so I can leave.” Greg signed for the glass basket and put it on the floor next to the hall table. The deliveryman was walking to his truck when Greg remembered a tip. He ran out the door in bare feet and gave the guy a ten.
“Thank you again for waiting.” Greg ran back into the house. It was freezing out there. Cisco would be so upset if he knew Greg went out without a shirt or shoes.
Greg was in the kitchen when the doorbell rang a second time. It was a FedEx package addressed to Cisco and marked personal.
Greg picked up the phone and dialed Cisco’s cell. “De Loria.”
“Hi, it’s Greg.” Greg never called Cisco at work, he only texted Cisco his whereabouts. He was a little nervous about the call but Cisco said nothing about a second package and Greg didn’t know if he did the right thing signing for it.
