บท 3: Cadbury Bournville
After finding out she was in Camp No.9 Rin was petrified, she stood like a lump of stick unable to process anything. Ryan started spewing profanities while the rest stood with their jaws-dropping, confused whether to celebrate their luck or feel sad for their friends. Rin felt like swearing but she hated to swear. Unshed tears formed in her eyes. She had mentally chosen her funeral picture and prepared for her death. Mia and Leyla hugged Rin and comforted her by promising to pay for her food for the whole semester.
Logan went on saying about retribution and reminding Ryan that he shouldn't have abused his power as the elder twin and bullied him. An enraged Ryan kicked Logan on his knees before flipping him onto the floor. It was a pretty bad fall, but Logan excused Ryan saying that 'going to Hades camp was already hard, so I forgive you' eliciting another round of beating from Ryan. Rin decided that she would stop being kind and good in the future ' All the good Karma bringing Rewards were just bullshit', her whole life was a Lie thought Rin as she sighed for the hundredth time. She then decided Karma was a female dog who was too lazy to even do her work properly.
Rin inwardly cursed the black hoodie guy and labelled him as "Harbinger of doom" while blaming him for her bad luck.
Asher felt a vicious gaze over him and searched for the source which resulted him into seeing a pouting girl. A fair skinned, nice shaped eyebrows, beautiful Hazel eyed beauty with a small nose, rosy cheeks and pink lips. She was one of the most beautiful women Asher had ever seen and he had seen a LOT of women. He realized that she was the 'ninja girl' who gave him the chocolates in the Auditorium.
'Not only is she cute, but also gorgeous' thought Asher.
"Where are you spacing out at dude? why are you smiling? Guys, Ash is smiling. Woahh... she is beautiful" Tristan said in a single breath, then watched curiously into the direction of Asher's sight. His blabbering piqued the interests of both Aimen and Rehan towards Rin.
"Wait isn't she the one in the Auditorium, look..... there's also the gorgeous girl and another middle east beauty and two guys" said Aimen while glancing at Rin and her group. "Wait, why is the Ninja girl glaring at you Ash? Did you piss her off or something?"
"I guess she and the guy beating up the other boy got assigned to Hades Camp." spoke Rehan before turning his attention to his phone.
"Dude, how did you know that?? Is it a Psychology thing or something." probed Aimen while Tristan looked at Rehan curiously. "Its not Psychology dumbos, its common sense. Why the hell would a girl stand with 'kill me' expression and the guy hit another, while the rest stare at them sympathetically. Its so obvious." Rehan answered, while looking at his friends like they were Retards.
Both Tristan and Aimen nodded agreeing to Rehan.
Asher Akey- a 3rd year Aeronautic student along with Tristan and Rehan while Aimen was a Medical student who shared finance management major with Asher. Tristan Bell and Aimen Khan met Asher during their freshmen year at Hades Camp along with Rehan Shah , Asher's childhood friend. The journey throughout the Hades Camp forged their friendship as one that was strong as steel.
'Looks like this year is going to be interesting' Rehan thought as he saw Asher watching at the Ninja girl with a gaze of interest. Asher along with his friends were considered the F4 of their Batch. Moreover they were the Chief hazers this year, Initially he was reluctant to take up this post, but now he felt that this year's Hades Camp was going to be very interesting.
Rin glaring at him one final time left the Hall along with the rest to pack up and move to their respective camps. After reaching the dorms she made a videocall to her parents while give an exaggerated farewell on how she was going to face death and all. After a bunch of advises from parents and lifehacks from her brother, Rin finally hanged up the call.
Sulking, Rin packed up her necessities and bags before locking the dorm and moving to their respective Camp points. After saying goodbyes to the gang, Rin and Ryan boarded onto their bus which headed towards their doom.
Rin sat together with Ryan and waited for the bus to start. As she sat there glancing around she heard a bunch of loud gasps stating how handsome and hot they were. As she looked she saw the very handsome harbinger of doom, the black hoodie guy from earlier, she scowled at his direction before turning her attention back to the window.
Asher and his Co. introduced themselves and gave same instructions and asked them to get all the rest they could before dismissing them. Asher's eye caught the hazel beauty scowling at the window with an annoyed expression. He couldn't help but smile looking at that cute face before he sat in his seat.
After a 2-hour journey they finally reached the camp and got off and lined into 10 rows. They looked like soldiers in Military training. The seniors ordered the Freshmen to get into their dorms and report back after an hour. The students dragged their tired bodies and moved towards their dorms.
An hour later, the hall was completely silent as bunch of students stood in 10 rows in attention position donning Black t-shirt and army pants waiting for their seniors to give orders. Boys and girls were separated into 5 rows each. Rin searched for Ryan along the crowd, when she met his gaze he gave her a comforting smile. Feeling glad , she smiled back at him. She felt grateful for having someone she knew even though it was Day-1 of their friendship.
A whistle sounded and a group of 8 seniors came into the hall and stood in the front like Supervisors. A bunch of 2nd & 3rd year girls and boys came in holding boxes containing watches and name cards. The called out the freshmen's name and handed them the nameplates along with the wristwatch. After making sure everyone received it, they went and stood behind the 8 seniors which included Asher and his friends.
A senior introduced himself and explained the essence of Hades Camp before informing them that the final years would leave due to their hectic academic schedule and the 3rd years would be in charge of the camp introducing Asher and his friends.
Rin was totally gobsmacked when she realized Asher and his friends were their Chief Hazers. She felt like she had run out of luck she have had. Rolling her eyes and sighing to herself Rin decided she had to visit her Ancestors to pray for peace and luck after she made out of the camp.
