บท 578: It's All Me

The oppressive silence that reigned in the room was a bit too suffocating to He Juan's liking. Mu Yuze's unrelenting stare seemed to bore holes into his skull, causing beads of sweat to form on his temple. 

Meanwhile, on the other end of the call, Chen Youzhi had yet to realize the predicament his Boss had unwittingly thrown himself into. Hearing nothing but silence, he assumed that He Juan was simply too stunned by the news that he had no idea how to respond. Thus he softened his tone and asked carefully, "Hello, are you okay, Boss? I know this seems so sudden, and there's a possibility that we might get it all wrong, but if you wanted to dig out your past, perhaps… you should get in touch with your former acquaintance?"

"Acquaintance," Mu Yuze mouthed the word silently with an indecipherable look, and He Juan decided right there and then that he should end the call as soon as possible before more harm could be done.
