"You are a devil. I can see through you. You smell like a devil, your soul is corrupted by sin, Bella," said Paoli with a defiant voice, wiping her tears.
"No, Paoli. You hate me, so you want me to repent," said Isabella, disagreeing with Paoli's every word.
"My life was so beautiful before, but now I can't live with this life. You are the reason for what I am going to do now, Bella. You are a devil in human skin," said Paoli, and headed to the window. She turned back and smiled one last time. "Your existence will damage mankind. Only bones and flesh will remain in your presence in the future." Paoli climbed into the window.
"What are you doing, Paoli? Get down," shouted Bella, her feet and hands trembling. Bella ran towards her, but as she progressed, the window was going ahead with Paoli and there was a white mist around her. She kept running, but still the same. The more she ran, the farther the window went.
"Paoli, get down. Listen to me. We can talk. If you want me to say sorry to you, that's fine. I'm sorry. Just get down from the window," Isabella tried to convince her while she was sweating profusely. Her brain wasn't working, while her no word was working on Paoli, she was still standing over the window ledge, and looking outside.
Paoli turned her body toward Isabella, relieving her heart as thinking that finally, her words worked on her, but then Paoli smiled at her, taking Isabella's smile away because she already realized the meaning behind it. She ran to hold her when Paoli's body fell backward, slowly. She closed her eyes, but the smile didn't leave her face.
Isabella screamed at the top of her lungs, "No!"
She sat up while huffing and sweating and found herself in an unknown room. It was a dream but felt so real. And her parched throat made her unable to talk.
Her eyes wandered in search of water when she found a man's wristwatch on the table near her bed. In an instant, her mind cleared, and a swarm of thoughts thundered down her head, frightening her even more. She forgot about her dry throat and threw the sheet away with a jerk, but thankfully everything was in its place. She heaved a sigh of relief and set foot to stand, only then did her head spin again, causing her body to lose its balance.
However, a figure wrapped his arms around her unstable body and pulled her close to his chest. On the contrary, Bella's face hit the wet and sturdy thorax. A fresh male cologne endowed her nose and her lips touched the water droplets, and she lifted her eyes.
Unknowingly, her tongue licked her lips, and she whispered, "Water."
"Hmm," Satan was out of words. He hates humans, only believing they are the stupidest creatures God ever created. The first fools they made were Adam and Eve. But here he is, serving and helping a human being of his own accord.
He helped Bela to sit, then walked towards the big enclosure. Bella's gaze also followed him. She was curious to see what this devil was about to do. Once again, she was shocked and felt unworthy of why she had nothing like that.
As soon as the door slid, it turned out to be a huge cabinet, containing all kinds of drinks, as well as a small refrigerator. From there, Alexander took out a water bottle and poured it into a glass.
Just then, Isabella's gaze shifted from her hand to his back, a large three-headed dragon tattooed and glistening because of water droplets.
"Enough gawking. I thought you were different. You aren't fond of lusting over men, but I am wrong," said Alexander with a mocking tone and turned back with a glass of water.
"You are thinking too much. First, you are naked, second, I am just watching your tattoo, I never have different thoughts toward you, and third, if I'm lusting over a man that's not you, and will not be ever," Isabella spoke loud and clear with her parched throat. Alexander's words touched her nerves.
And she cleared the air without hesitating and it was true she has no other intention of the devil. She didn't care how handsome the man is until his heart is good enough for her fondness.
"You hurt my pride, woman. Nobody ever told me this. Now I'm interested in you. You really caught my attention, but I'd like to clarify one thing before you assume anything else, that I don't love, and I hate humans," said Alexander huskily a few inches from Bella's lips. What she didn't feel when the man came close to her.
"Why are you so close to me?" Isabella whispered and her ear didn't miss her heartbeat, as they were violently thumping inside her ribcage. She wanted to stop it but didn't know how to.
"Water," Alexander answered, bringing the glass to her lips. Calming down her expedited heartbeat, Bella snagged the glass from him and gulped down.
As the cold water passes through her throat and spread throughout her body, she felt rejuvenated. A glass of water has never tasted so good before.
But again she shook in her place when she found the man was still watching her. He didn't move from her. His face was yet so close. He is charming with flawless skin and devilish purple eyes, truly temptation.
"What are you trying to do? Why didn't you move? I want to go," Isabella confidently said, steadying herself, and pushing herself more with the thought, 'Don't be weak in front of him.'.
"I want to know how long your heart will beat. Only because I am close, it's out of control. Who knows if I touch you what it will do," Alexander enchantingly spoke, looking straight into the hazel eyes.
"Put on your clothes first and move away. You may be comfortable but I am not," Isabella confidently uttered and ignored, looking into his eye. However, she didn't want to agree, but his eyes were making her nervous.
"Why? This is my room and I will decide whether to be naked. Besides, you say I'm not the guy who can seduce you," Alexander said with a laugh, and his words made Bella blush more.
"You are dreaming and I want to go home," Isabella said and was about to set foot when Alexander's hand block her as it went across her waist.
"What are you doing?" Isabella said and leaned back, her voice now lacking in confidence.
"I want to see if my manly enchant is still working. But I think it's working. The way you're sweating clearly shows how much of an impact my presence has had on you." Alexander's hoarse voice was even more appealing to hear as Bella felt. All she wanted was to run away from this man before he would further embarrass her.
"I'm feeling congested, back away, and let me go," replied Isabella and turned her head to the side, but still could feel Alexander's warm breath over her.
"What if we sign a deal and you'll be with me for a month?" Alexander's raspy voice and his hormone-coated words scratched her heart. She couldn't believe how her body reacted to his every word. Also, there is another chance she believed. She had never been this close to men before, maybe that's why these words made her restless as well as arose.
"You are very confident, Mr. Luther. I have seen many beautiful faces before, and no one can charm me." Now Isabella's words elicited interest in Alexander, as his eyebrows raised in excitement.
"Then why don't you come to the hell with me," said Alexander and his finger reached Isabella's cheek when that finger was caught by her
"I don't have time," Isabella replied as she pushed aside his finger and stood up.
She was wearing her heels and her eyes searched for her backpack when she found it near the mirror. Grabbing it, she glimpsed herself in the mirror and came to the door. But to her good luck, the door didn't open despite several attempts.
A sigh came from the corner of her lips and she looked at the man, who was still sitting in the same position.
"I need your help," Isabella requested, looking at his back. His upper body was still naked and that big dragon tattoo was clearly roaring before Isabella's eyes, as she felt it.
The man got up from the bed and approached Isabella, while his muscular figure and cologne made her weak again. As soon as his hand touches the door, it opens automatically. She was relieved that she could now leave this place. Although she didn't ask questions about her unconsciousness or anything, because she had almost a tiny idea of why she fainted.
She nearly stepped out of the room when that man's words sent shivers down her spine as well as made her uncomfortable.
"The agreement will be ready by tomorrow, and you will ask for it soon."
