"I know all that. " Raven said, wondering if he could seal Clarissa's mouth shut long enough for him to get her to listen to him. But he knew that would only fuel her anger. "That is why I came up with the perfect idea."

Clarissa rolled her eyes and waited for him to continue with his perfect idea.

"I'm not asking for a typical meeting." he said with a glint in his eyes. 

Clarissa raised a brow. She hoped he wasn't planning to have her kidnapped and then save her miraculously. 

"Make them come here for the next tailoring section. Ensure that Darcy comes with you. I will introduce myself to her then and try to befriend her. I'll even ask her to the ball and make her fall madly in love with me."

It seemed like a good plan. But… "Just one thing. Let's say you fail in befriending her and she disagrees to go to the ball with you. Then what?"

"I foresee no failure." he said with all confidence. 

"Always expect the unexpected."
