A picture of how close he'd stood, the way he'd touched her flashed through her head. 

Her cheeks grew hot and she slapped herself across the face. 

"Just because you said you'd give him a chance doesn't mean you have to act like a fool. That is not attractive, Clarissa." she sighed. She didn't like this. 

Whenever he stood close to her, it felt like her heart would explode in her chest. 

Her nerves became erratic. She had never felt this way before. 

It scared her. 

She breathed in and tried to calm down. 

She didn't need a man who would take over her senses in that way. She didn't want to lose sense of who she was. 

A knock sounded at the door.
