The whole village celebrated well into the night. Nearby merchants pooled together more food, wine, and snacks bringing everyone together to rejoice and wish the young couple a blissful and happy life together. Feng had always been a favorite in the village. Ever since his father passed away, the entire village came together to help raise him. They had watched this young man grow from a pitiful boy into becoming someone's husband. This alone was enough for everyone to celebrate his new marriage.

As the singing and festivities continued, no one noticed a very hurt and upset Ping'er wandering off tearfully away from the village. She hated everyone so much at the moment, that there were no words that can be used to describe her resentment. She felt so humiliated by Feng. And his– his wife?!! His stupid wife?!!!
