บท 191: A Community in Mourning

The light in the horizon was waning, leaving the sky in shades of pink, purple, and tamarind. What would usually be one of Tuzi's favorite times of day, as the colors swirled beautifully during the twilight, clenched her heart and left the woman in a state of dread. 

Even minutes felt like hours, as the rabbit shifter was unable to pry her hazel eyes away from the endless distance.

It was the dust of day and Oyuna had not returned.

Tuzi was not the only one who waited. The wolf girl's family consisting of Ayden, Anu, Golun, Tuya, and their children all stayed vigilant; Guarding post and straining their eyes for any signs of the woman.

Yet as the final light disappeared from the day, signaling the dawn of the night, there was still no sign of the dear girl in the distance.
