He took a bit while thinking about it. ''Teacher you say? Good... So be it.''
Shu Ya rose her eyebrow and smirked. ''Are you certain that you will accept the teaching position.''
He shrugged. ''I am smart. Teaching is not that hard.''
She smiled brightly at him while she winked at Mingli. He almost started laughing. He rushed to the table and brought her paper, ink and brush.
Shu Ya wrote and gave him to read. It was a basic contract where he had a duty to give teaching classes until spring. He will have free lodging, three times a day meal and two times snacks and will get monthly one silver.
He looked at the contract as it was simple he signed three copies that Shu Ya made. ''Mingli. Go take these to the city and get an official stamp on it. I like it completely legal.''
Wen Delun rolled his eyes. ''I will not run away.''
Shu Ya smiled at him sweetly. ''I am not sure will you or not. But if you do I will ask a hundred times the money back plus a hundred times the worth of food and staying you used. If you run away, I will become a rich lady. He he he.''
Wen Delun took the contract one more time and really on end it said by the breach of the contract he has to pay the hundred times what he owned for the whole time, no matter if he was there or not.
With an open mouth, he pointed at the words and almost laughed. ''You mistrust me that much? Wow. Fine. I will accept it. Bring it to the office and put a stamp on it. I think Mao La will have some fun reading this contract. Whhao.''
Mingli took the papers and went out while pulling Bolin out and when they were a bit further away he pointed at papers. ''Our miss is really something. Pfff ahahahha.''
Bolin read again and again and then realized. ''She is really something. There is not written WHO he has to teach. She hired him as a teacher. But when he finds out that they all will have to learn EVERYTHINg from begin, I think he will wish to run away. Fast.''
Mingli wiped his eye s that started getting watery from all the laughing. ''That is the reason she wants me to do an official stamp. Oh, he will have to do the teaching. Luckily she bought enough ink pods, brushes and paper. The winter won't be boring as it seems. I think he will wish to have a boring winter.''
Bolin laughed now as well .''It's fine she is like this. Now we know for sure she is healthy again. She takes every possibility in the account. As a grown-up person, he probably has more knowledge so she wanted to take the chance. After all, he offered it himself.''
Mingli nodded and took his horse. ''I am off. Now that miss is healthy again she will want to see seamstress and shoemaker. You know her. The servants need clothes.''
Bolin pointed at the main house. ''What about Hualing?''
Mingli smiled. ''She should be miss's personal servant. To sew for servants? Better not. Let her sew beautiful clothes for our miss.''
Bolin nodded and saw Mingli rushing towards the city. Luckily this time city was not far away so he was fast done. Just when he was about to enter the main office he saw Mao La getting of the horse as well. He bowed with a smile. ''Your Honor.''
''Oh, Mingli, right?'' Mao La saw this young man by Shu Ya's side. ''How is your miss now?'' Wen Delun told him he will be going to heal her as she fell suddenly sick.
Mingli sighed. ''She will need some time to get better. Wen Dalun chose to take her offer and stay by her side as a teacher. At least until spring.''
Mao La sighed. ''He is a lazy person. Why taking him? I can send you a few people that are better.'' But saw Mingli shaking his head.
Mingli smiled brightly. ''Our miss might be a small child in body, but her mind is quite clear. Don't worry, he won't be able to be lazy too much if he wants to stay by her side.'' He gave Mao La the contract and at first, he didn't see anything particular so he looked at Mingli with questions in his eyes.
Mingli pointed at word teacher. ''It said the teacher. But she never explained whose teacher.''
Mao La suddenly felt that the child has too many heads. How did she come withs such an idea? He started laughing. ''Good, good. Tell me, who will he have to teach?''
He saw Mingli chuckling and knew something big is coming, and it was. ''Everyone in the household. Including servants.''
Mao La started laughing and couldn't stop. ''Oh Wen Dalun is in such a trouble. HA haha haha. Come let me stamp it with an official stamp. Your miss is good. What's the use of personal servants that cant read. It's disgraceful.'' Mao La found out on his own skin that it's bad to have an uneducated servant.
He had someone he liked when he was younger and sent his servant with a note to the girl. But unfortunately, the servant lost note and wildly said about his feelings which made the girl back out and even get angry at him. He had no idea until much later when she was about to marry another man.
She explained to him what happened and he almost fainted. The words that servants used were not only crude as well as offensive. Since then he had by his side only servants that knew reading and writing. So miss Shu Mei's idea to educate servants was not bad. Even tho many people wouldn't do that, but it's less bothersome in most situations.
He nodded with a smile as he stamped the document and left one as evidence. ''Tell your miss that her idea is certainly not bad. On the other side, she will make that lazy man finally move a bit more. Ha a haha hha. I wish I could see his face when he realizes his mistake. Then it will be too late.''
Mingli nodded but then asked him something it bothered him for a while. ''Your Honor, I know I shouldn't be too curious, but why do I feel that Wen Dalun's background isn't simple at all.''
Mao La rose his head from documents and smiled mysteriously. ''That question, young man, you need to ask yourself.''
