The young man was just right by her side and held her. At first, he thought she was faking it but when he pressed her wrist he could feel her heartbeats being very low and unsteady. Stressed and sleep-deprived for a long time.
He looked at the big man by her side that had worried expression. ''The little miss seems to have overworked herself lately. How much stress did she have to come to this condition?''
Bolin just coldly looked at him and picked her up. ''Find truth about her before pointing fingers. This child deserves so much happiness but people stressing her out again and again. Today she was attacked twice, was stressed about some stupid silver find on her farm and on top of that was running here and there the whole day. I feel tired, no wonder she fainted. Now move aside I need to bring her to physician quickly. Move!''
But the young man stood in front of him not moving even a bit. ''Idiot. How wouldn't I know all that about her? I am a physician. Bring her over. I work for the City Lord but I think he wouldn't mind if I help her.'' He pointed at one of the doors and Bolin just nodded and with big steps entered the room.
He carefully put her on the bed and stepped aside. His whole person shook in anger. "I know this miss just a short time, but she met so many mishaps that I just think she must have been born at the wrong time."
The young man pressed his finger at his lips and concentrated on her health. His face became darker. "She was it seems poisoned for a while. But it seems just shortly. I'll prepare for her some potion and wait..." His eyes became dark. "They really must have hated her. It seems someone fed her poison even before. I fear she was poisoned before. Now these two poisons are clashing. There are two endings in this case. They will stop clashing and she will die or they will neutralize each other and she will get rid of it."
Then he stood up and started walking around.
"Unfortunately, the damage is done. She needs to take care of good about her health. No more stress. Her body is too weak for it." He wrote the prescription and was about to give to Bolin when he saw a small hand holding his sleeve.
Shu Ya opened her eyes and dizzily tried to stand up. "I have my medicine at home. But thank you. How much is it?" It was hard for her to speak so she kept her sentences short.
The young man gave her a long stare. She was still dazed and shaky but tried to stand up. "You must be crazy. I don't take money from crazy people."
Her eyes were just a bit open and she just smirked. "Then so be it. Those are your words, not mine. Bolin, take me home. Tomorrow we have so much to do. So much..." She rubbed her temples again and sighed. "Whoever you are, thank you. If I by chance can help you one day, I promise I will."
Even tho she was just a small child, but the strength in her words made him believe her. He was about to deny her offer but saw her open eyes and pressed lips. "Fine, if there is a day that I would need YOUR help, then I'll remember your words. By the way, I am Wen Delun"
She closed for a moment her eyes and rose her body into a sitting position. Shu Ya completely ignored his introduction. She still felt dizzy but didn't want to stay. "But, if you ask me to do something that might harm my country or emperor... I'll deny you my help."
He stilled for a moment and then nodded. "I promise I'll never ask you such or similar things."
Shu Ya nodded. "Then I'll remember your words as well."
''Remember one more thing. Those poisons will give you the high temperatures. If you survive that. You will get rid of poisons, but your health...'' He sighed and shook his head.
''I understand.'' Shu Ya simply nodded and rose her hands towards Bolin. ''Take me home.''
Bolin came to her and picked her up and brought her out. He put her on the carriage and they left the city just moments before closing.
Two people sat in the tea house and watched them leave. "Sir, should we still get rid of them?"
"Idiot, that child is smarter than all of you. If you kill her there will be too big attention turned towards us. We can't afford people checking out the current situation. Let her go. Such an interesting female is rare." He had a smile on his face but soon it disappeared like it was never there. "Get rid of those morons. If they do something stupid again we might as well run."
The other man nodded and was about to leave when he stopped. "I ordered for messengers to be stopped or killed. There won't be anyone to know about this for a few months. The snow is coming and I don't think it's possible for them to send anyone again before spring. Then it will be enough time..."
The man nodded. "Well done. Until spring we can mine enough for our Lord. Until they come we can gather a bunch of silver and still much left for them to think its enough."
The man nodded and left while the young man by the window chuckled. "Shu Ya... An interesting child indeed."
As soon she came home she washed up a bit and went to her room.
Louli still didn't wake up so she carefully climbed over her and laid on the outer end of the bed. She was seriously tiered so as soon her head touched pillow she fell asleep.
"Miss, wake up to eat just a little bit. Please." She could feel light shaking.
"Is it undercooked again?" She tried to make a joke.
Louli could see corners of her lips rising and chuckled. "This time he cooked it until it became... well it's edible."
Shu Ya opened her eyes and saw Louli sitting and holding a bowl with as it seems rice porridge. She smelled it and rose. "It smells right. I'll wash first. Mingli, could you please do me a favour?"
He stood there with dark circles under his eyes and nodded. "Yes, miss."
She pointed at the bedding on the floor. "Take that away. Pack your stuff. Tell Bolin to go to the city and bring more carriages like you did last time. I have no intention of travelling a hundred times here and there. But...Before they come... Go sleep. Or should we drag you to the physician?"
Mingli nodded. "I'll do that miss."
''Did you eat something? Eat before sleeping. Please." She stared at his back and saw him turning around. "What...? Go go go..."
He could feel care from her and just nodded. Outside Bolin was sitting in one chair and stared into the distance. "She fainted in the city."
Mingli came to him as his body shook. "What happened?"
