"Bad news?" She inquired from him. 

It was a humane thing to do.

"Aren't they always? It's my little brother Max. He is in jail and now I have to go sort out that whole mess"

Dylan stood to go but Pepper stopped him.

"Sorry, I disappeared on you"

"Give me a hug, Callie and your number"

Pepper stood up and hugged him. 

She was vulnerable so she let the hug linger.

When they finally detangled, Asher was standing there with both his hands in his pocket.

"Asher! What are you doing here?!" Pepper asked him.

"Who is he?" Asher kept his eyes glued on Dylan.

"This is Dylan, an old friend and D, this is Asher….my husband" Pepper introduced.

"Well, you are the man that married my fiancee. How dare you, dude?" Dylan asked feigning anger.

"Excuse me?" Asher said and looked at him.
