Kurt could feel his heart pound in his chest. He was actually nervous. It was his first time talking about Aubrey with anyone in years..

He tried not to let it show in his demeanor and posture but it was impossible to hide.

Kurt felt a sharp edge kind of pain tear through him but he didn't have the luxury to acknowledge it. The pain was just to be until finally, it would envelope him and there would be nothing left of him yet again.

Pepper watched him stay silent and she was not having any of that. Something broke the man she loved and she really wanted to know what.

"Kurt! I am sorry to hurry your process but for the love of everything good in the world, talk!"

Kurt rubbed his forehead before he started talking.

"It's about Aubrey Courtney Knight, Pepper. It's always going to be about her"

"What are you talking about?" Pepper inquired. "Who is Aubrey, Kurt?"
