Chapter 128: Remember those walls I built?

Pepper diced the onion in front of her as she tried to stop herself from smiling every five seconds interval like a lunatic. Like she has been doing for some times now whenever Asher crossed her mind. 

She went to the sink and she placed a bowl in it to get water. She needed to wash the vegetables but her mind drifted off to the event of yesterday, to the question she asked Asher afterwards when he held her in his arms for a long time before running her bath afterwards. 

That question she asked, came out of nowhere or maybe she had been secretly wondering about it without meaning to.

Pepper remembers looking him straight in his blue eyes before asking that question and how he kissed her jaw at that very moment.

"Are you alright?" He asked for the one thousandth time.

Pepper had nodded with a smile "Just sore but it was totally worth it"
