บท 26: Chapter 26
After making sure that Zaden arrived home safely I made my way to school, I still hadn't forgotten what happened yesterday.
Asking around would only draw suspicion and Zaden would find out about it and not be happy, although he was tempted to mind his own business after discovering that Zaden knew he had secrets and didn't push for them but there was a difference between him and Zaden's secrets.
His couldn't get him killed...for the most part but Zaden's were causing him harm, harm that would lead to his in-laws and wifey getting hurt.
"Hey" immediately looking at who snapped their fingers in front of my face I came in contact with Easton who had a flicker of worry on his face that disappeared as if I were just a part of my imagination , hell maybe I was.
"What" I said in annoyance.
"Nothing just that we were called to the student gov office and the fact that you hadn't been reactive since you came to class is a bit ... disturbing" he finished.
Lifting an eyebrow I couldn't help but say in amusement"Are you worried about me Easton" rolling his eyes Easton scoffed as he murmured a few words to himself, it was actions like this that reminded me of my friends...
"Don't smile like that" Easton said as he moved away from me in alarm.
"Why...?"
"You look like a pervert" as soon as he said that my lips twitched.Did this guy want a beating.
Trying to calm down I instead said "Weren't we called to the office, led the way"
Rolling his eyes he made his way there, he didn't bother to knock as he just pushed the door open. I was able to recognise Cora and the boy from the hall.
The room look like a typical executive meeting room except that it was smaller. A bit dark with its gray colours.
"Hello Cora" I greeted her with a polite smile, she nodded at me and looked back and forth between me, Easton and the boy.
"Ah you just arrived Cora, but these two will be part of the catering at the food festival so I have a few requirements I want them to fulfill" the boy said his voice energetic yet still managed to remain composed.
"I see" was all Cora said as she returned back to whatever she was doing.
"So what do you want us to do for you?" I asked the boy.
"Well I want you guys to design a menu of the food that would be served so people know what they immediately want on the day without wasting time, speaking of that I need the budget that you require for the food" he finished.
Me and Easton both turned to each other before returning our looks back to the boy "You do know that you didn't have to call us here right" I said.
"I know I just like the idea of calling people to my 'office' makes me feel like I'm some big boss and you guys are my employees" my lips twitched again as I inwardly thought 'was this guy shameless'
Cora and Easton rolled their eyes as. Easton murmured a few things to himself...yep him and Kevin would get along if they were to ever meet.
"Then I'll be on my way all you need is Easton since his mother is the owner" before anyone could say anything I made a run for it and as I was running across the halls I bumped into Brianna and Be-Wren in the middle of an argument.
Brianna looked like she was about to cry as she had her hands on her mouth while being defended by a third year boy and Wren looked pissed beyond repair.
The one day Noa isn't at schoo.l
"Jack we where supposed to be the golden couple not you and fucking Brianna." Wren said as she said eerily calm.
Drama
"Wren it's not what you think..." Brianna said in a manner that said 'I want to explain but I'm scared too'. Not only is she a wolf in sheep's clothing but she's also a boyfriend snatcher and since when did Wren have a boyfriend.
"Wren we only started dating a week ago and if it wasn't for Anna I wouldn't have found out that you were just using me" well that answers that, not wanting to stay any longer after looking at Wren's eyes I made a run for it.
Making a U-turn to the bathroom since I needed to go relive myself I was about to leave as soon as I was done but stopped when I heard Austin's voice on a call.
"...He didn't come to school so I'll give you the money..."
"Did you target his ribs like I said...no reason it's just that it brings back old memories..."
"...Yeah yeah just make sure no one finds out..."
"...Yeah I'll be at the sports festival plus I need to try out the food and hear it was good..."
It wouldn't take a genius to figure out that he was responsible for what happened to Zaden. After waiting for him to leave I waited for a few minutes before leaving the bathroom.
My hands kept on clenching and unclenching in anger.
I finally knew who was responsible albeit I did have my suspicions but what I still didn't know what the reason was.
Did the reason even matter this bastard was hurting my friend and I would make him pay and the sports festival.
