Vivia took a seat next to me and the guild master fumbled with the glowing ball. A moment later he put it on the table and it started glowing even more fiercely. Then the staff members closed the blinds and I could… see a face of sorts in the crystal.

"Greetings," the face said. Sounded like a woman. I couldn't really make out much. Very pixelated. Low resolution.

"Greetings. I am Sean Jackson. Who am I speaking to?"

"This is Aurella Victoria. I'm the reigning guild master of the adventurer's guild."

Oh, so she was the guild master of the guild masters.

"Glad to have finally met you," I said. "Although we're not necessarily meeting perse."
