Megan stood in her kitchen with her grandma. The women weren't able to sleep the night before caring for the man. Her grandma didn't even ask questions she made sure to save his life and made sure his wound was treated. The man she had found was sleeping peacefully in her room. Probably still getting infections in his gun wound that he refused to get treated in the hospital for some reason.
As she watched her grandma make him soup she couldn't help but wonder why her grandma was so calm with having a strange man in their house. She felt worried she brought a possibly dangerous person into their house.
"Grandma. What do you think about the man I found?"
"I think his tattoos are hot." She said with a laugh.
"No. I mean, what do you think of him...like is he dangerous?"
"Well...yeah."
Megan's eyes widen, "Grandma! How could you say that so calmly?"
"Because he won't do anything to us. We saved his life. He doesn't seem like the ungrateful type."
Megan shakes her head listening to her grandma's words. She couldn't believe how calm she was. This Guy could potentially be dangerous but it seemed fine to her grandma.
"Granny. We have enough issues with those loan sharks Marcus deals with, we can't add another issue!"
Her grandma laughs, "Everything happens for a reason. Maybe he is the answer to our issues."
Megan scoffs, "Granny. He is probably going to just add to them, I really don't see how he will bring anything good into our lives."
Her grandma smiles knowingly, "So why did you save him?"
"Because...well he was in trouble."
"He is your destiny."
Megan sighs and laughs. "I have to go check on him."
"Go check on your husband."

Megan walked in later with a bowl of soup and water, she didn't want him to starve and die right infront of her. Yes, she was worried about him being dangerous or a criminal but she knew she wouldn't let him die before Her, not after she had promised him.
She knew he had to eat something soon to regain his strength and so the medicine could work. She places the food on the nightstand and gently touched his arm,
"Roman...please wake up. It's time to eat something."
He started to stir slightly as she spoke. He sat up and his eyes fluttered open slightly as he stared at her. His body was much heavier now and it took more energy to move than it did before. His stomach growled as he smelt the food and he tried to turn towards her, "I'm hungry"
She smiles,"I brought you my granny's famous maple bacon and sweet potato soup. It will fill you up in no time."
he smiles and his mouth starts watering to the smell of the soup. He couldn't remember the last time he felt like this. He hadn't had good home made food like this in ages, "Thank you...". He sighs and he leans up slightly for the soup as she holds it out. He drinks some of the soup and he grins,"Tastes good"
"Grandma will be pleased to hear you like it, she was trying her best to impress you with her cooking."
He laughs slightly as he finishes the soup. The soup had warmed him up and it was simply delicious.
"I feel tired..."
he sighs as he lies back down on the bed. His body feels weak since he's in the process of recovering but it still hurts.
"Oh by the way I was wondering if there's anyone you can call? Your family must be worried...you've been out cold for five days now." Megan thinks it's best if he found his family and left soon.
he shakes his head and he sighs as his eyes drift off into the ceiling "No...no one will worry if I disappear for a while" he chuckles slightly as he closes his eyes again while drinking the water "Don't worry about my family" he laughs quietly.
She can tell he is sad but he masked it with his laugh. This made her feel bad for trying to get rid of him.
"Uh...what about the police? Shouldn't you tell them you were attacked?"
He laughs again, he doesn't want to worry her anymore then she is already. At this point she will probably want to ask more questions but for now he will just try and reassure her, "The police won't help a mob boss."
She gasps covering her mouth in horror mixed with shock as she felt like her soul left her body. "M-mob boss?"
he smiles at her and laughs again, he finds her reaction amusing. She looks like she was about to faint as she backs away "Oh calm down...I won't hurt you. You saved my life and for that I owe you my gratitude"
Megan was still afraid. She was afraid something like this would happen. This was the worst possible case scenario. He was really a mobster.
He could sense he was scaring her even after he reassured her that he wasn't going to harm her. She was shivering a little and she seemed very worried. He had no idea how to reassure her that he wasn't dangerous at this point so he just looked at her with a warm smile.
"I'm sorry but you have to leave."
His face dropped as he saw her still afraid of him. He was getting nervous and anxious that she was still scared after reassuring her he was harmless. At this point he was just trying to get through to her "I can't. Not right now, just let me stay."
"My grandma and I don't need to deal with shit like this!"
He groans as he sinks his head back onto the bed as his body ached. He looked at her and he tried to make her understand, "I was born into it...I'm just doing what I've been trained to do my entire life" "I swear to you. Your grandma and you will be paid for all of this."
Megan froze hearing this. If he paid Her, things wouldn't be hard for her and her grandma. She knew she needed this money but letting a mobster stay in her house scared her.
She stared at him processing everything, "You need real medical attention if you're gonna stay here."
He chuckled slightly and tried to shake his head but the pain was too much. He couldn't help but notice the concern on her face as she stared at him. It must have been tough trying to figure out how to deal with him, she was probably wondering how she would call an ambulance to get him treatment, "I'll be fine. I just need to sleep..."his voice was tired as he spoke and his eyes started getting heavier again.
She shakes her head getting up. "I need to go talk to my grandmother." She gets up and shuts the door.
Roman sighed and he looked at the closed door. He was still a little frustrated that she didn't understand that he wasn't a terrible threat. She might think he was dangerous or a terrible person but she didn't know him. He was still annoyed at the situation and he could hear her speaking with her grandmother.
