In the first-floor lobby of Zhong Yuan Apartments, the spacious area was flooded with glaring light that flickered intermittently, casting eerie shadows on the expensive-looking carpet. 

Among the shattered glass strewn across the floor—a testament to the chaos that had unfolded—the air was heavy with a sense of impending danger.

The hallway leading to the outside was a chilling sight as blood trails meandered along the polished tiles. The viscous crimson fluid created a stark contrast against the sterile environment, leaving a gruesome path behind. 

Each step further down the hallway revealed the lifeless bodies of several individuals, their faces frozen in a twisted expression of pain, their skulls impaled by various sharp objects that were once elegant pieces of furniture.
