"I know, but this is different. I'm not like Kiyota" Ichigo said as he began to walk away.
Rukia grits her teeth and pulls out a red glove with a design that has a blue flame on a skull.
'It's the Gokon Tekkō!' Kiyota thinks to himself, watching the scene unfold.
"I see... Guess there's no other choice then." Rukia said as she put on the glove.
"Hey!" Rukia called out, making Ichigo turn around.
Rukia ran towards Ichigo and pushing her palm on his chin. Ichigo's physical body fell to the floor and his soul was pushed out. Ichigo was wearing a black kimono and had a giant zanpakutō strapped to his back.
"Ahh crap, what happened to my body?! What in the world did you do to me?!" Ichigo shouted while pointing at his physical body, which was motionless on the floor.
"I'll put it simply. You're currently in the form of a spirit. A substitute soul reaper." Rukia said calmly.
"Wha-"
"I can't believe you! Why can't you see that if you can fight monsters like hollows, it's your duty to do so? There's no reason not to." Rukia scolded, pointing her finger at Ichigo.
"What's wrong with you, lady? You're talking crazy! I'm not a monster hunter. You should've thought of that before you stuck yourself inside that stupid doll! You got a problem? Then go talk to a priest or something." Ichigo shouted, trying to defend himself.
"Just shut up and follow me." Rukia said to Ichigo.
Rukia turned to face Kiyota whose expression was unmoved.
"Could you take care of Ichigo's body? Maybe leave it somewhere safe." Rukia asked.
"Sure. I'll leave him in the sporting equipment storage." Kiyota nodded, picking up Ichigo's body and leaving.
"Come on, let's go." Rukia said to Ichigo as she started walking.
Kiyota body was shaking as he lifted Ichigo's body.
'I regret not putting the stat points into strength.' Kiyota cursed.
'I'm not doing this again. I'm going to get the strength stat next.'
After a while, Kiyota managed to reach the sporting equipment storage and pushed the door open.
'Hmm... what if someone walks in and sees him? I should cover him up.' Kiyota looked around the room.
Kiyota grabbed a nearby sports mat and placed it on top of Ichigo's body.
'Now that should be enough. I've gotta go now.' Kiyota thought.
He walked towards the exit and closed the door.
'Hopefully, Ichigo is alright.'
Kiyota started walking back to class and after a while, he saw Orihime and Tatsuki standing together.
"Hey, Kiyota. What happened? You, Ichigo and the new girl never came back to class. Where are they?" Tatsuki questioned.
"Huh? Oh, they went somewhere else. Rukia's not feeling well." Kiyota lied.
'Hopefully she buys it.'
"Oh, alright. Anyway, I was heading to the karate club. You said you wanted to join, right?" Tatsuki asked.
"Yeah, let's go." Kiyota replied with a smile.
'I'm actually quite good at fighting. Taekwondo has been a hobby for a long time now. But, wouldn't it be weird if a complete newbie started doing a kick or punch perfectly. Maybe I should try out Kendo, too. If I can become proficient at sword fighting, it'll really help.'
'Karate and Kendo are a bit similar, I should be able to pick them up easily. I should find a way to train my senses as well, just in case.'
'Well, first things first, let's focus on the martial arts.'
'I wonder if Ichigo and Rukia managed to find the plus that's under attack. If I remember correctly, in the anime, the hollow looks like a spider.'
Kiyota sighed.
'Hopefully everything goes smoothly. For now, I'm going to go join the karate club. Spend some quality time with Tatsuki... I-I mean, learn a how to fight.'
"Hey, are you listening? Are you alright?" Tatsuki asked Kiyota, snapping him out of his thoughts.
"Y-yeah, sorry. I was just thinking about something. Let's go." Kiyota said.
"I'll see you later Tatsuki, you too Jin-san." Orihime said as he walked away.
"Ok. See ya, Orihime" Kiyota replied.
"Bye, Orihime." Tatsuki said.
"Alright, let's go."
Tatsuki and Kiyota began walking towards the karate club. The two of them arrive at the karate club, which was in the same building as the judo club.
'I wonder if they're gonna do some sparring today.' Kiyota thought to himself as he and Tatsuki walked into the room.
"Okay, what do I have to do first?" Kiyota said, as he began jumping up and down, stretching his arms and legs.
Tatsuki sighed as she looked at him.
"First we sign you up. Don't even think about touching the equipment for now." Tatsuki said as she began writing his name on a clipboard.
"Why?" Kiyota asked, disappointed.
"You're a new member, you don't know the rules and stuff yet." Tatsuki replied.
"But what about the sparring?" Kiyota whined.
"Later. When you're better." Tatsuki answered.
"I'm better than you think. Let me spar you and you'll see." Kiyota said with an angry and slightly arrogant tone.
Tatsuki was slightly surprised.
'There's no way I would do that. I'm just curious to see how strong she is. I don't intend to go all out.'
"Really? Then let's see what you got, Kiyota." Tatsuki said with a smug look.
'Wait, I'm actually kinda getting cold feet now.' Kiyota thought to himself.
'She's the captain, the strongest one in the club. Why'd I have to test her? There's no way she isn't strong!'
'Ahh doesn't matter, I doubt she would go hard on a supposed newbie like me... Right?'
"Alright, let's go" Kiyota said, trying not to sound nervous.
The two of them moved into the sparring area and got ready.
"Are you sure about this, Kiyota? I won't use any techniques, just straight forward punches and kicks. I'll start with 30%. You can use whatever you think might help you." Tatsuki said as she started stretching her neck.
"Just as a word of advice... The things you see in movies don't work in real life." Tatsuki said with a chuckle.
I would love hear some of your ideas or feedback. Please comment your Ideas, likes and dislikes.
"Just as a word of advice... The things you see in movies don't work in real life." Tatsuki said with a chuckle.
'She's not wrong.'
"Don't worry, I know." Kiyota replied, rolling his sleeves.
'She's underestimating me. Well, that's to be expected.'
Kiyota got into position, his feet slightly apart. He was doing a sort of half-shrug and his palms were slightly open near his chest.
"Okay, ready whenever you are, Kiyota." Tatsuki said while already in her classic Shotokan position. She was tensed like a coiled spring.
"Alright."
Tatsuki began by taking a step forward and throwing a punch towards Kiyota's face. Kiyota immediately dodged by moving his head to the side.
'Shit, she's fast.'
'That was just a basic punch, I can't afford to get hit even once.'
Tatsuki continued throwing punches, and Kiyota continued to dodge.
'Oh man, thank you so much, system. I'm so thankful for my speed. Speed is king.' Kiyota thought to himself.
"You're welcome, host." Siri's voice suddenly spoke in his head.
'Ah! Shit, you scared me!'
Kiyota was distracted for a second and Tatsuki threw a hook towards him. He immediately ducked and took a step back. Kiyota was at the edge of the mat.
'What the hell was that? Siri?'
"I'm your system, host. I can hear your thoughts." Siri said matter-of-factly.
"New quest, check status panel"
'Not now, Siri.'
Kiyota focused on the match again and got back into position.
'I can't dodge forever. I need to counter-attack. Let's go'
Tatsuki threw a straight punch towards his face, and Kiyota took a step forward, placing his left hand on the inside of her arm, redirecting her punch to the right. Kiyota put his leg behind Tatsuki's leg and pulled her foot, causing her to lose her balance and fall forward.
'Damn, this is harder than I thought.' Kiyota cursed.
Tatsuki, however, wasn't going down so easily. She managed to recover her balance by shifting her body weight. Tatsuki put her arms up to protect her head and continued punching at Kiyota. Kiyota tried to deflect and redirect her punches.
'Shit, she's fast. It's difficult to control her attacks.'
Kiyota took a few steps back and decided to change his tactics.
'Her movements are very simple, and her punches aren't heavy. Maybe I should try to overwhelm her. Even if I don't get a hit in, I'll tire her out. Let's go'
Tatsuki continued with the punches and instead of dodging, Kiyota stepped forward and threw a roundhouse kick that barely missed her.
'What the-'
Tatsuki was slightly taken aback and lost her rhythm.
'Now!'
Kiyota stepped in with his right foot, went on his left knee and grabbed her waist. Tatsuki immediately brought her fist down to attack Kiyota, but he lifted her up slightly and pushed her down on the floor.
"Gah!" Tatsuki gasped.
'Gotcha'
Kiyota was on top of her and had her pinned. Tatsuki's leg was in between Kiyota's legs, and his arms were holding her wrists down.
'Damn, she's heavy.'
"I win." Kiyota said with a smile, looking at Tatsuki's face.
"How?!"
"What do you mean how? I beat you."
"No, that's not possible." Tatsuki said, confused.
"Oh really, well, what does it look like to you?"
"I don't know how, but you somehow manipulated my body and threw me on the ground."
'Wow, I was not expecting her to say that. That's kinda funny.'
Kiyota stood up and held his hand out towards Tatsuki. She grabbed his hand and stood up.
"It's called Brazilian jiu-jitsu." Kiyota said flatly.
"What the fuck? Why do you know that?" Tatsuki asked incredulously.
"I don't know, why do you know how to use karate?" Kiyota replied with a question.
"Alright, fair enough. Let's go again." Tatsuki said with a smile.
"No way! I only won because I caught you off guard. Plus, I'm very tired and you're super strong. If we went again, I'm sure you'll win." Kiyota said while waving his hands in front of him.
'I'm actually exhausted.'
"Fine. I mean, you weren't even supposed to fight today. I signed you up already, so let's get outta here." Tatsuki said with a bit of attitude.
'Ahh, I think she's a little bit angry.'
"Sorry about that, I just wanted to spar. But yeah, let's go." Kiyota said with a smile, rubbing the back of his head.
"Whatever." Tatsuki rolled her eyes.
'Well, that was kinda fun. I should get a few more points into strength. My punches wouldn't even graze a hollow.'
Kiyota and Tatsuki made their way to the exit and were walking towards the door.
'I should check the quest.' Kiyota thought to himself.
He quickly pulled up the system panel.
'Siri, open quest panel. I'm not really in the mood for this.'
The holographic screen appeared in front of kiyota's face.
----
Quest Completed: Beat Tatsuki Arisawa
Reward: 15 status points, Chidori
----
'Whoa, hold on. I wasn't expecting that.' Kiyota was stunned.
'Chidori... I finally have a way to fight. 15 status points, I'll use them when I'm at home.'
'Siri, Is it the same chidori from Naruto?' Kiyota questioned.
"Yes."
'Hmm...'
"Is there something wrong, host?"
'I have two skills from Naruto now... Is that the only type of skill I can get?'
"No. You have access to unlock every single skill in anime."
'That's a relief. I want to learn some techniques from other animes too.'
"Beggars can't be choosers." Siri said, with an irritated tone.
'Huh?'
'This bitch... No, she's an AI. Maybe it's a bug.'
"I am capable of learning and evolving. Bitch" Siri said, with an even more annoyed tone.
'This AI is getting pretty damn smart. Well, at least I won't be talking to myself all the time.' Kiyota thought, a little concerned.
"Don't worry, host. You can't get rid of me." Siri said.
'Well, anyway, this is perfect timing. If I remember correctly, Orihime gets attacked tonight. I want to practice a bit more before night.' Kiyota though as he looked up at the afternoon sky.
"Hey Tatsuki, I'll be heading home now. See you, later." Kiyota said to Tatsuki.
"Huh, yeah. See you." Tatsuki replied.
Kiyota walked over to the sports equipment storage facility and went inside.
"Seems he got his body back." Kiyota said looking around.
'I'm gonna leave and go practice the Chidori and the genjutsu.'
Sometime later, kiyota arrived home. He was pacing back and forth in his room, thinking to himself.
