บท 45: Finding Her Again

At Asher's mansion, Elena only allowed Brandon to go see her. After her hopes were crushed, she couldn't face her husband, who had kept giving her fake hopes over the years.

"Mommy, can the nanny take me to the park today?" Brandon asked, laying next to her on the large bed.

"I doubt that's a good idea sweetie, you just came down with a cold recently because of too much ice cream," Elena said as she watched Brandon pour his lips in disappointment.

"Okay, you can go but don't take much ice cream and to make sure of that, I'm joining you today, okay?" Elena cautioned him as he opened his almost nearly toothless mouth in a wide smile.

"You can't go out anywhere, Elena, and you know it," Asher's voice said at the door.

"Brandon, go tell the nanny to get you ready. I'll have a word with your daddy, okay? Elena said, smiling at him as he nodded.
