He gulped down shot after shot, hoping to get rid of the hollow he felt inside. Jake locked himself in his penthouse at his club drinking his sorrows away.

Since he couldn't talk to anyone, he had better stay alone until he figured out what was going on. George had not shown up, and he couldn't blame him, he had to take care of Charlotte and their baby.

He heard a knock at the door making him wonder who it was. Except George no one else knew he was here, Jake somehow felt bad that Selene too didn't know his location.

He stood walking towards the door but staggered. His head heavy and drowsy, it appeared he had too much to drink. He couldn't track the number of drinks he gulped down.

The door clicked open as Jake tried to focus his attention on the intruder. A lady with a familiar face entered the room, making Jake furrow his brows confused.
