บท 20: Wake up from dreamland

"What did you just say?" Hazel asked as she took a bite of the big hamburger. It was Sunday and she was lying on Esmeralda's big and soft bed because she had a fight with her husband and so she came to cry her grief to her best friends.

Who would have thought when she would enter the room, that she would hear about the proposal that her best friend received?

"I said Ethan Westbury asked me to marry him, " Esmeralda sighed. When she came home that night, she stalked him on the internet all she could.

If she had this man's baby, her status in society wouldn't be any less than musk's baby mamas. Whatever! She would be Richey-rich. However, money was not something that she lacked. She might not be a billionaire like him, but she was a self-made millionaire and she was proud of this!

"Did you say yes? Where is the ring? When do I start looking for a wedding dress for you? Are you pregnant?" Hazel being the romantic that she was began firing questions after questions.

"Fuck off, " Esmeralda pushed her away.

"Where is Kierra?" Amber asked as she entered the bedroom.

Kierra poked her head through the bathroom and waved at them. "Hi girls, I'm washing my head. I will join you soon."

"That's my limited edition shampoo, " Esmeralda groaned.

"And?" Kierra innocently asked.

Amber and Hazel laughed at the two of them.

"Kierra, like I said, you are always welcome to live with me if you don't like a certain someone, " Amber offered. She was very kind of Kierra who had the two women wrapped around her finger with her innocence and snark. They loved how she dealt with someone as troublesome as Esmeralda.

"Nope, Emerald makes the best Italian food in the world, "Kierra smiled. Of course, there was no way in hell she would leave the place as it was also the safest place for her to live. Searching for her in the house of an actress would be the last place her parents would be searching for her.

"Why did you say no to Mr Westburry?" Hazel grumbled.

"Why should she even say yes to him?" Amber asked in return. Fine, he was handsome but he screamed trouble.

"You guys, go back home and let me live in peace, " Esmeralda pouted. "This is the first week where I don't have work and I can eat and sleep to my heart's content."

Amber and Hazel looked at her and sighed. They were now getting worried about Esmeralda. She was someone who would always keep herself busy with work but this Oliver thing had upset her a lot.

As the two of them were worrying for her, the doorbell rang and Esmeralda left her friends to open the door. She didn't even bother to look through the keyhole as she opened the door, she saw a very angry Oliver standing out.

"Really, Esmeralda!" Oliver thundered. He looked pathetic. He was smelling bad. No, he smelled like puke. Or maybe he was smelling like the piece kf shit that he was. "This is your stupid game! You burned shit outside my house. You made my house help give me milk in my food even though you know I'm fucking lactose intolerant! Not just this, you broke my Porsche! If you had any problem, you could have said to me instead of doing something so stupid. Not just this, you even played stupid tricks on my family!"

Esmeralda, who was so angry that she would beat this piece of shit right here and then, went to the kitchen and brought a jug full of cold water and poured it on him.

"Just to wake you up from your dreamland, " Esmeralda growled. "Grow up! The world doesn't revolve around you. And if I really wanted revenge on a lost cause which I had no interest in since I'm getting married to a guy who is ten, not ten million times better than you, I would have used my walnut crusher to cut your dried and loose balls. Now fuck off before you see the Villainess that I'm! Out of my house or I'm calling the police."

In a daze, he took several steps back and she shut the door on him. When she turned around she saw her friends getting out of her bedroom and clapping for her proudly. This really made her feel a lot better.
