บท 74: 74. Unexpected Catch

Two men knelt before Emperor Julian inside his tent.

"Your Majesty, we have carried out your orders. However..."

Emperor Julian glanced sharply at the taller man.

The shorter one continued nervously, "There was someone accompanying the girl into the woods, Your Majesty."

"Who? Her brother?"

"No, Your Majesty. We only saw the young man a couple of times at Lumina Nexus. He is a friend of Ethan Ashford."

Emperor Julian smiled with satisfaction. "As long as it's not Ethan accompanying her, there should be no issue. Whether it's Cassius or the girl who meets their end, in the end, I shall be the one laughing."

Emperor Julian's initial plan was to move the seal to the forest where Cassius was and lure the Seraphytes out, but he remembered that every poison he had ever used to end Cassius's life had failed.

So, he redirected the tip of his spear towards Eleanor Ashford.
