บท 117: The Fires of War

The sound of the battle cry was like a spell that helped awaken the dormant power within the people’s bodies. The enemies headed forward dauntlessly. But the arrows that shot past their skin into their bodies made their faces twist as they let out a cry of pain. Some fell to the ground, bodies lying like a stepping stone for their allies. In the end, many had to die as nameless soldiers. Such was the nature of wars, where the low-rank soldiers died and were forgotten and only the names of the generals went down in history.
