Feeling his firm lips against hers, Avery was rendered completely handicapped, unable to push him off her or at the very least, react. He parted her lips with his, slipping his wet tongue into her warm mouth and that was the moment she lost it...or rather, that was the moment she regained her senses.
"Arch..." she moaned into his mouth, parting her lips further to deepen their kiss. Her eyes were closed, but his image etched in her mind made it look like she was staring straight at him.
Until he pulled away from her, ending the kiss.
"Did Brian ever kiss you like that?" he asked.
Avery slowly shook her head. If the small peck on the lips she had had with Brian over the years could be called a kiss, then how was she to explain this one with Archie?
"Wait..." she said, a puzzled expression taking over her face. "Why did you kiss me?"
"We are done mourning. What were you expecting?" Archie deadpanned.
"But—"
