Not far off, Xian Yin and the others, who were about to leave, looked back with envy.
"Damn, if only I'd known the clan leader would bring out such a treasure, I'd have done way more missions!" Xian Lang said, feeling regretful.

"Fifth Elder, we're here for missions!" Xian Yin called out before even stepping inside.
"Oh? Quite a crowd here today! Finally understanding the value of family contribution points?" The Fifth Elder, Xian Zhennan, chuckled, taking a swig from the wine gourd hanging at his waist.
"Who would've thought the clan leader would suddenly pull out such a treasure!" Xian Lang sighed.
"Haha, let me tell you, there will be more and more sacred cultivation grounds in the clan in the future, places like the Thunder Pool and Yuling Waterfall. All these will require contribution points to enter. And as the family grows, the contribution points needed might increase even more. Right now, you're benefiting from our smaller numbers!"
Xian Zhennan gave them a wise smile. "Do you think 100 contribution points for a day in the Time Building will last forever?"
Xian Yin thought for a moment, saying, "So what you're saying, Elder, is that we need to take advantage of the resources now, while the clan is smaller. When it's larger, our cultivation level will be high enough that we won't need to worry about competing for resources."
"Smart lad! That's exactly it!" Xian Zhennan nodded approvingly.
Shortly after, they gathered in front of the mission board, where tasks were posted. There were all sorts of missions: hunting beasts, gathering materials for alchemy or forging, searching for formations, tending to the clan's orchard, helping out with the spiritual fields, and even being a training partner.
Each mission awarded contribution points. These could be redeemed for alchemical formulas, rare treasures, weapon blueprints, various inheritances, or even family support rewards like marriage incentives. For instance, marrying a wife earned 200 contribution points, having the first child brought 1,000 points, and the second child 2,000 points, and so on.
Seeing such generous rewards, many clan members were contemplating whether they should marry and start families sooner.
Earning contribution points covered nearly every aspect of clan life—from hunting beasts to supporting internal logistics!
"I'll take all the monster-hunting missions here!" Xian Yin announced eagerly.
"Hold on, what about the rest of us?" Xian Lang shot him an exasperated look.
The clan's demand for beast meat was high. Now that every member was a cultivator, there was a constant need for fresh supplies. Monster hunting made up a big part of the missions because of this daily demand.
"Remember, each of you can only accept two missions a day," Xian Zhennan reminded them.
The group collectively groaned. With only two missions allowed per day, they'd earn maybe a dozen points daily—meaning it would take about ten days to earn enough for one day in the Time Building.
Quickly, Xian Lang scanned the board and took on two monster-hunting missions suitable for his skill level. Since he had around 70 contribution points, these would help him accumulate enough to enter the Time Building soon.
"Of course, the highest rewards are from getting married and having children," he noted with a smile. "But that's still a bit off for me!"
While he had grown close with a girl from the clan, marriage wasn't quite on the table yet.
In the end, he settled on the monster-hunting missions.
"Hey, I've already got marriage talks underway with a girl from Feihua City. I'll go propose right now!" A nearby young man grinned as he dashed off toward the city.
Another young man laughed ruefully, "I only got married a few months ago, and I missed the 200 contribution points! Though my wife's expecting, it'll be months before we get the child's points."
"But those 1,000 points will be worth the wait," he added, smiling at the thought.
He then casually accepted two of the simpler missions before leaving in high spirits.
In no time, the crowd around the mission board dispersed, each person off to complete their assignments.
Near the Zhutian Fishing Lake, Xian Yue, who had been cooking, watched his motivated clan members with satisfaction. It seemed the Time Building's introduction had really energized everyone.
"Master, I'm back!" Xian Li appeared, her spirit and energy visibly brighter after just a few days with the Xian clan. Her formerly timid demeanor was changing, her confidence growing.
"So, what has your teacher given you this time? You look thrilled," Xian Yue asked, looking up.
"My master's wife bought me beautiful clothes and sweet candied hawthorn!" Xian Li grinned, hurrying forward to offer him a skewer of candied hawthorn.
The once frail-looking girl had transformed, her skin glowing with health and her cheeks a rosy pink.
"This is delicious!" Xian Yue said, biting into the treat.
Seeing her master enjoy her gift, Xian Li beamed with joy.
"Have you enjoyed playing with the other kids? They didn't give you any trouble, did they?" he asked.
"No, everyone was really nice! It's been the happiest time of my life," Xian Li replied. Her time in the clan had been full of laughter and companionship. She'd made friends, and nobody bullied her as they had in her past.
"That's good to hear. I'll be leaving the clan for a few days soon, but while I'm away, enjoy yourself. Once I return, I'll officially begin teaching you cultivation," Xian Yue said, patting her head gently.
"Master, are you leaving? For how long?" Xian Li asked, her voice tinged with worry. The thought of being abandoned resurfaced, her heart clenching at the thought.
"Don't worry; I'll only be gone a few days. I'll be back before you know it," Xian Yue reassured her with a smile.
As they talked, Xian Yue noticed the newfound confidence and brightness in Xian Li, a drastic transformation from the timid girl she once was. The family, the environment, and even the responsibility of her tasks were all helping her blossom.
He felt a deep sense of pride watching his young disciple grow stronger and happier.
And so, Xian Yue prepared for his journey, knowing that when he returned, they would both embark on a new chapter. In the meantime, he left Xian Li to enjoy the bonds she had formed within the clan, confident she would thrive in his absence.
