บท 226: Golf

"Hey, Brother Chao, I'm thinking of going back home for a couple of days." Zhou Chao, who was having breakfast, looked surprised as he gazed at Jiang Li.

"What's the reason for going back?" 

Jiang Li stirred her porridge with chopsticks, paused for a moment, and said, "No special reason, I just want to spend some time with my parents. I know you'll be heading back to Modu soon, and we might not return to Jingdu until the end of the year."

"Why is that? Isn't it easy to come back anytime?"

"I've told you before, I don't want to be just a decorative piece. This time when I go back to Modu, I plan to work at your company, learn gradually, and hopefully, one day, I can contribute to your success!" Jiang Li looked up at Zhou Chao with determination.

"Alright, I agree, but let's finish our meal first," Zhou Chao understood that Jiang Li was serious, and he didn't try to dissuade her further. After all, he fully supported his wife's ambition.
