The air grew colder as he stepped out of the shadows—a tall, imposing figure with long white hair that had a faint pinkish tint, shimmering faintly in the dim light. His sharp features and piercing gaze gave him an ethereal yet menacing presence.
Dressed in a regal robe of dark green and black, adorned with gold accents and a fur-lined collar, he radiated authority and cruelty.
The intricate designs of his outfit, coupled with shoulder armor and a decorative belt, hinted at both nobility and readiness for battle.
He exuded power, sophistication, and a sense of otherworldly dominance.
"Who dares enter my castle uninvited?"
His deep, commanding voice reverberated through the grand hall. His crimson eyes locked onto me, narrowing as he assessed me.
"So, you're the one who managed to take down all my minions."
I stood tall, gripping my sword tightly. "Yes. That would be me."
He tilted his head slightly, his expression shifting to one of mild amusement. "A young one, I see. You show potential… but if you think you can defeat me, you're severely mistaken. You still have much to learn."
Without warning, his form dissolved into a swarm of bats, darting toward me. I instinctively unleashed Sparks, the crackling arcs of electricity scattering the bats into nothingness. But then, I felt a presence behind me.
"My name is Alucard. I am the Vampire King." Said the imposing figure finally revealing its name.
I whirled around, summoning Observe to learn more about my adversary.

My heart sank as I read his stats. 'Are you kidding me right now?!'
Still, I steadied myself and spoke with as much confidence as I could muster. "My name is Shiro. I wish for a duel."
Alucard raised an eyebrow, clearly intrigued. "A duel? Not to kill me?"
I hesitated for a moment, deciding to be honest. "Not really. You don't seem like a bad guy… I just wanted to test my strength."
The corner of his mouth twitched, as if he was suppressing a laugh. "Son of a—! Did my guards even try to speak to you before attacking?"
"No," I said flatly. "All I got was hiss~ and them trying to claw my face off."
Alucard groaned, pinching the bridge of his nose. "This is the fifth time this has happened. I'll have to discipline them later. Regardless, I accept your duel."
He stepped forward, his regal demeanor replaced with one of readiness. "Impress me."
We assumed our positions, and the fight began. I leapt into the air, aiming to slice him in half. My blade came down with force, only for him to catch it effortlessly with one hand. The impact caused the ground beneath him to crack and form a crater, but he remained unfazed.
Alucard glanced at his hand, impressed. "You've already impressed me, and we've barely started."
I channeled flames into my sword, the intense heat forcing him to release it. Without hesitation, I followed up with Sparks, though the attack barely seemed to phase him. Desperate, I used my flames again and rushed at him, slashing furiously.
But he dodged each attack with ease, a smile never leaving his face.
Then, in a blur of motion, he stopped my blade with just two fingers. He looked me in the eye and said, "How about this? You train, get stronger, and come back when you're ready. Because right now, we both know how this will end."
I clenched my fists, frustrated but unable to argue. His words stung because they were true.
With a deep sigh, I lowered my sword. "Fine. But next time, I will be stronger."
Alucard's smile widened slightly. "I look forward to it, Shiro."
With that, I activated Instant Dungeon Escape, vanishing from the castle.
When I opened my eyes, I was back in my room. Koneko wasn't there anymore, but before I could dwell on it, a notification appeared in front of me.

I stared at the notification, utterly dumbfounded. "Okay… what the hell?"
As I sat on the couch, Koneko walked into the room, her expression calm yet determined.
"Hey, Koneko. Just curious—when are you leaving?" I asked not like I wanted her to leave or anything but a question that's been on my mind.
"Never." She answered almost instantly.
I blinked, confused. "Huh?"
She crossed her arms, a faint blush dusting her cheeks. "You said you loved me, and I love you too. So, I'm staying here with my boyfriend."
Her words caught me off guard. "Wait… we're boyfriend and girlfriend now?"
Her gaze lowered slightly as her voice grew quieter. "Well… not if you don't want us to be."
Hearing the sadness in her tone, I couldn't stop myself from leaning forward and kissing her gently on the cheek before looking away, my face burning. "L-Like I'd ever throw my cute girlfriend out."
Her face turned crimson, but her expression quickly shifted as she puffed her cheeks out in annoyance. "I'm not a loli."
"And yet, you have a loli fan club," I teased.
Her response came swiftly as her finger flicked me hard on the forehead.
"Oww! Why do you keep doing that?"
"Rias wants you to meet her peerage," she said, ignoring my complaint.
"Fine, but I'm not becoming a devil."
"I know."
We walked through the dimly lit halls of the old school building until we reached a set of large double doors.
