Once the door slides closed with a snick, HelixI steps around Brax and faces him and Parker. “I need to ask you some questions. I think I have some answers,

“Brax, are you having difficulty not having Parker near you?” HelixI asks, tilting his head and observing Brax.

“Yes.” Brax’s response is a frustrated hiss.

“I have been reading your people’s archive’s in the vault, studying for the Repopulation Mission. Early Arcturian mates went into isolation for weeks. This solidified the melding and frequently sped it up. The couple often delivered their first offspring within six months after being isolated. There were references to the need to be isolated. I believe you are suffering the physical effects of meeting your mate and your need to meld. This primitive need drives you to seek your mate until you are melded, and your instincts can calm with the permanent melding.” HelixI paces in front of Brax and Parker. He notes that Brax has kept his hand on Parker’s shoulder.
