บท 33: 32. Preperations
Slowly making it's way down the road the convoy took another hour and a half to make it to the camp. Tom and A.J stood on top of the gate waiting for Sam and the rest.
"There I see them" A.J yelled as he shouted for the gate to be opened as the convoy of undead and knights marched into the camp.
"Looks like you had a boon" Tom smacked Sam on the back with his cane and chuckled.
"With some loss and bad new maybe" Sam replied in a sour mood as knights carrying stretchers of dead knights walked by. A.J mumbled a prayer for the fallen with red glossy eyes.
"When can we catch a break" he lamented turning to Sam.
"We've spotted people scouting the wall earlier" A.J told Sam, Chris and Truth. Chris turned a deep red in anger as he stormed away.
"What happened for that new to piss Chris off" Tom asked Sam looking at Chris smash his feet on the ground like a child.
"He was ambushed at the construction depot... They knew we would be there" Sam's knuckles cracked balling his fists in anger. Tom's nonchalant attitude disappeared as he narrowed his eyes, killing intent radiated off of him. Sam was surprised at the killing intent as he stared at the old man in a new light. Tom coughed and the intent disappeared like it was never there.
"Alright stop looking at me and let's call a meeting" The old man said as he walked to the HQ. Sam smirked as he tapped Truth on the backside and sent her to gather everyone.
Making his way to under construction HQ, Sam saw the primates being put to work helping worker carry heavy load up ladders.
*Its only been a few hours and they are already working together* Sam thought to himself before clearing his head and sitting down at the meeting table.
"SAM" Joey yelled as he ran up to Sam.
"How was the run? Were you the one to take those Apes, they are so cool" Joey ask multiple questions back to back while Sam rubbed his brow.
"Sit first, I will go over everything when we start" Sam told Joey who sat in his normal seat and waited with a pout.
"Sorry I'm late" Jenna said as she sat down with Chris. Tom sat down as A.J and Kelly followed him. Lily and Spencer as the last to sit down apologized a few time while Sam just stared at everyone. Sam's gaze and Chris's bloodlust started to cause all but Truth to tremble and sweat.
"ENOUGH BOYS" Truth raised her voice as Chris and Sam both coughed and looked away.
"What was that for ya young bastards" Tom said faking being fazed by Chris.
"We have a traitor, someone is feeding information to the enemies" Chris growled out while Sam watched everyone's reaction. Everyone seemed upset but Spencer who look nervous and started to sweat even more. Seeing Spencer's reaction Sam sighed before standing up.
"It's time to attack the other camp" was all Sam said before walking away. Sam stop at the front door and looked at Spencer.
"Spencer we need to talk" Sam left those words as he walk out, Spencer got up to follow as his breathing grew disturbed and sweat poured from his brow. Sam waited on top of the wall as he looked down on skeletons, apes and humans building for a better tomorrow.
"W w what did y you need Sam" Spencer studdard out looking at Sam in fear.
"Spencer has anyone treated you badly, hurt you, made you feel unwelcome?" Sam asked as he glared at Spencer.
"No" Spencer squeak out as he stared at his feet shaking.
"SO WHY" Sam yelled cuasing Spencer to shiver and cry.
"They caught me when I was out looking for more land drakes to tame" Spencer started to recount his story.
"She said she wanted to meet you that was all" Spencer was on his knees crying and apologizing. Sam started to form mana in his hand before sighing and letting it disappear.
"I'm going to give you one chance to make this up because of your mother, Fuck this and I will kill you myself you hear me" Sam spoke as Spencer nodded.
"You will let them know where we are attacking and with how many people" Sam handed Spwncer a piece of paper and told him to go. Spencer left as quickly as he could as Sam turned and looked back out over the walls.
"You sure that was okay not killing him" a voice whispered in Sam's ear seductively while arms wrapped around his sides.
"We need to make preperation. *Sigh* another battle is coming Truth and we need to win it" Sam said as he turned and looked into the women's eyes.
"I have faith in my husband to make a better tomorrow" Truth said with her head buried in his chest. Passion burned in Sam's eyes as he looked at Truth.
"Who's your husband minx" Sam said as he lifted Truth up and flashed away.
:Sometime later at the council table:
Chris sat with A.J and Tom discussing troop movement and supplies as they scoured scout reports.
"Blast it all how many battles do we have to fight for a day of peace" Tom hollered and cussed.
"Calm down Old man" Chris said rubbing his temples. Tom grumbled as A.J continued to read and write.
"What are you doing" Tom shouted as he snatched A.J's paper and read it.
"This is good..... real good" Tom slapped A.J's shoulder as he waved the paper in Chris's face. Chris sighed as he grabbed the paper and read it.
"What are you six stop snatching things from people" Tom shouted at Chris as A.J shook his head looking at the old man.
"A.J this is good, real good. I'm going to get Sam" Chris said as he walked to Sam and Truth's room. Getting to the back Chris saw a group of red faced women and the sounds of moaning and grunting.
"Are ya'll really just going to stand here like your in heat....(They stare at Chris like they've been caught)... GOOOO" Chris yells starring at the handmaidens with a wierd look. Shaking his head and smiling Chris leave to goto his room vowing to come back later.
