Logan and Rogue were rushing the weakened rescued mutants from the facility forward. Wade could recognized some of them as young Gambit, kiddy sized Sunspot, pre-teen Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver, and definitely at least 18-years-old Morph, he hopes. All of them were barely able to stay on their feet, looking gaunt, exhausted, and on the verge of collapsing.
"Woo! The cast just getting bigger and bigger!"
(Well, one of the good things about fanfic, we finally could afford everyone this time!)
Yep!
"Move it, people!" Logan barked, urging them on as the rumble of collapsing structures has started to echoed behind them.
"Home sweet bird!" Wade yelled, his voice cracking with a bit too much excitement.
"Just a little further, kids, and we'll be safe in the Blackbird, where I definitely won't make a snarky comment or three! Btw, let's speed it up, Kenny!" As Wade lift Ken up and then launched him at the jet ramp. Why you ask? Well, It because he can!
What a terrible brother...
(Best brother ever!)
"Wait, what—! WAAAAADEEEE!"
Laura darted in right after him—to Wade disappointment as he couldn't pick her up in just in time to launched her up too. Cih, what a show off!
Wade's feet hit the ramp the last as he also practically launched himself—See Laura! I didn't play favorite—onto the jet just as a wave of debris came crashing down behind them.
As Wade made it inside just in time, Rogue slammed the hatch shut. Wade collapsed into one of the seats, finally letting out the breath he didn't realize he'd been holding. Well, he did forget to breath sometimes... must be that! Yeah!
His siblings slid in beside him, Ken looks like he was shaken—well, he did just throw him off to the ramp like a ragdoll—and Laura stone-faced as usual. Cih, again, show off!
"That," Wade panted, "was close. Too close. Never want to be that close to becoming roadkill again. Didn't like it in the past, definitely didn't like it now or the future."
He buckled his seatbelt, glancing over to where the experimented mutants Colossus, Kitty, and Nightcrawler had rescued also slumped into seats. They were in rough shape. Gambit's red eyes were barely open, his breathing shallow. Quicksilver's silver hair hung limp, his normally cocky face slack with exhaustion. Scarlet Witch looked gaunt, her hands trembling as she stared at nothing in particular—uuggh he hope her mental health is okay, or we gonna had multiverse of madness earlier than the fic schedulled.
The other isn't that much better either, Sunspot had burn marks across his skin, how? He didn't really knew, Stryker did seems to be more evil and sadist in this fic. Morph was barely moving, his already greyish skin become more grey and dull. Well, Stryker sure did a lot to them.
(He did seem really evil in this fanfic…)
But a little bit more stupid than usual… and greedy…
'That's because the author is stupid!'
He glanced out the window at the dam, cracks widening as the structure groaned under the pressure of the water behind it.
"Oh, that's look bad. Really bad."
No shit sherlock!
(Well, nice knowing you too!)
A massive wall of water rushed toward them, a roaring wave of destruction, and in the blink of an eye, Stryker's body was swallowed whole by it. Wade could barely make out his form, sinking into the torrent as it washed over him, dragging him into the abyss.
"Well, that was… anticlimactic." Wade muttered, glancing over at Logan, who grunted in agreement.
Wade looked away from Stryker, just in time to see a helicopter lifting off in the distance, Magneto and Mystique onboard, making their escape.
Wade smirked. "Well, look who's running off to volume 2. Guess they couldn't handle the five-star beatdown we were serving."
(Well, the author is too attached to them to killed them anyway…)
He just didn't want to be seen as a Neo-nazi who killed the holocaust survivor...
'And homophobic because Sir Ian McKellen is gay!'
(Damn, he got trapped by the wokeness!)
Scott's hands moved furiously over the controls, trying to stabilize the jet.
"Scott, we've gotta get to Washington," Professor Xavier said urgently. "This is bigger than Alkali Lake now."
"I know, Professor! But we need to actually fly this damn thing first! Damnit!" Scott grunted in frustration, teeth grinding as he worked.
"Language!" Wade shouted cheerfully from the back.
"Shut up, Wade!"
Rogue cursed under her breath, slamming the controls. "We ain't takin' off, sugah. Somethin's wrong—"
Before she could finish, the dam burst.
Logan paced near the cockpit, his agitation building by the second. "What's wrong?"
"Vertical thrusters are offline," Rogue replied, her voice tight.
Logan's claws unsheathed reflexively. "So fix 'em!"
"I'm trying!" Rogue's fingers moved deftly over the controls, but the console blinked uncooperatively. "It's not responding."
"They're functioning," Storm replied, her voice shaky, "but I don't know how long they're going to last."
Scott pounded the controls. "Come on! I'm trying to override—it's not responding!"
Rogue, seated nearby, tried her best to help. "Okay, Ah think Ah've—"
Her voice faded, overtaken by the roar of the flood outside. The situation was spiraling, and fast.
"They're functioning now," Storm muttered, glancing toward the screens. "But I don't know how long they're going to last."
The cockpit filled with tension. Cyclops leaned over the panel, his voice rising. "I'm trying to override it, but nothing's responding!"
Scott's frustration mounted. "Come on! Connect, damn it!"
Storm gripped the sides of her chair, eyes narrowed in concentration. "Scott, the engine control system is shot. All of it!"
"There's still power in the cells!" Scott snapped. "We just can't connect it. Where's the override?"
"It's gonna take time." Storm's hands fluttered over the controls, but even she could tell it wasn't enough.
Scott suddenly noticed her absence. His eyes widened. "Wait. Where's Jean?"
Jean, however, wasn't in the jet. Go figures...
(Please tell me he not gonna fridge her?)
He just wanted to torture Scott it seems.
"Not on my watch! Well, maybe after she gets us out of here first..."
Storm's hands froze. "She's outside."
Panic flickered across Scott's face as he ran into the back of the jet. "No, we're not leaving her!" His voice cracked, frantic. "Lower the ramp!"
"I can't!" Rogue said, her hands trembling as she tried, even tapping into the newly aquirred Magneto's powers. "Ah can't make it work!"
The jet shuddered as the dam crumbled further, and a deafening rumble filled the air.
"She's controlling the jet," Storm said, realizing what was happening. "I can't do anything about it."
"Me neither," Rogue echoed, her voice tight with fear. "She's doin' it all herself."
"Get her, now!" Logan growled, turning to Kurt, who was already preparing to teleport.
"She's not letting me," Kurt said, shaking his head, his voice full of regret. "Her mind… it's blocking me."
"Damn it!" Logan slammed his fist against the wall.
Outside, Jean stood, a glowing figure of fiery energy, her arms raised, holding back the floodwaters and lifting the jet simultaneously. The Phoenix's power flared around her in bright, flaming arcs.
Jean raised her arms, her fingers trembling as she unleashed her power. The ground quaked, the air shimmered, and a psychic force burst outward, erecting an invisible wall between the X-Jet and the incoming flood.
The water crashed against the barrier, splintering and cascading off in torrents, but it held. The dam, now fully broken, poured its rage toward them, but Jean stood her ground, the invisible force field pulsing under the immense pressure.
Her eyes glowed brighter, fiery streaks swirling around her as the full force of the Phoenix manifested. Her breath came in shallow gasps, her muscles tense and straining under the sheer magnitude of her power. But she wasn't just holding the flood back—she was lifting the jet.
Logan watched, fists clenched. "She's... holdin' it all back. The flood... the jet..."
Inside the cabin, the engines sputtered to life, and the Blackbird groaned as it was slowly levitated off the ground. But it wasn't high enough—not yet.
"Jean, come back!" Cyclops shouted again, his voice filled with panic and heartbreak.
But Jean didn't answer. She couldn't.
The flood raged beneath her, surging up, trying to swallow everything in its path, but Jean pushed back with the full might of her abilities. The water met her force field, but she held it back, every second costing her more strength, more energy. The psychic barrier flared, cracks forming under the sheer weight of the flood, but Jean gritted her teeth and fought harder.
The X-Jet hovered above the ground, still wobbling, unable to escape the floodwaters without her.
Jean's energy flared again, her arms trembling as she raised the jet just a little higher. Her face was pale, her body shaking with the effort, but still, she held on.
And then it happened—the Phoenix fully manifested. Flames flickered around her, not just psychic energy, but real, tangible fire. It rippled and pulsed, like a bird of flame wrapping her in its wings, the full force of her power radiating out in all directions. It was beautiful, terrifying, and utterly unstoppable.
Scott's voice cracked. "Jean… Jean, listen to me. Don't do this."
She turned slightly, eyes glowing with the raw power of the Phoenix. "Good-bye," she whispered, the words lost to the storm but felt deep in their hearts.
"No!" Scott yelled, pushing toward the exit. "No, no!"
"She's gone," Kurt whispered, staring out at the flood threatening to engulf them all.
In the cabin, Cyclops stared out the window, tears streaking down his face. He pressed his hand against the glass, whispering her name one last time.
Wade huffed, muttering, "Oh, for the love of—you owe me one, Summers!"
Ken's eyes widened in horror. "Wade, you can't—Son of bitch!"
(Hey! Don't call your mother that!)
But she is a bad bitch tho...
"Damn it, Wade!"
Wade was already gone.
Teleporting in the middle of a freakin' tidal wave wasn't his best idea, but desperate times, right?
The roar of the flood deafening as he blinked into existence right next to Jean, who was completely absorbed in her power.
"Sorry Fire Chicken! Can let them fridge you! Scott already an insufferable asshole as it is!"
The roar of the flood deafening as he blinked into existence right next to Jean, who was completely absorbed in her power. His arms wrapped around her tightly, and before she could even react, he teleported again just as the tidal wave hit them.
Inside the jet, chaos reigned as everyone tried to make sense of what had just happened. Then, with a flash of energy and a loud pop, Wade reappeared—soaking wet and looking like he was going to puke any second.
"Fuck… now I'm soaking wet!" he groaned, doubling over as nausea hit him like a truck. "And before you guys comment anything! Its both! Yep, its both! Now lets put those El Dorado gif to use!"
"Jean!" Scott exclaimed, rushing forward to embrace her. "How—how did you—"
But before Jean could answer, Wade, still hunched over, lurched forward and vomited violently onto the floor.
"Wade!!!" Ken and Laura shouted at once, rushing to his side.
"I'll… never do that ever again," Wade wheezed, wiping his mouth on his sleeve. His face was pale as a ghost. "You owe me one, Summers! Oohh… wobbly, wobbly timey wimey… Mhmnh... so briiight!"
His voice trailed off as he collapsed, completely spent, into Ken's arms.
"Wade, whatever you do! Don't go to the light!!!"
"I AM NOT FUCKING DYING YOU FUCKER!!! URggghhhh! Blaaaarrrgghh!!!"
"AAAH!!! WHY DID YOU VOMITTED ON ME YOU FUCKING IDIOT!"
"YOU THE IDIOT ONE!"
"BOTH OF YOU SHUT UP!!!"
"Sorry, Laura…"
"Sorry, Munchkin!"
Jean, still disoriented from the teleport, blinked in confusion. "I don't understand… I definitely told both you and Kurt to stand by…"
"Heh," Wade chuckled weakly from where he was sprawled. "No one tells me what to do." He winced, still clearly feeling the effects of overusing his teleportation powers. "And don't you dare go sacrificing yourself all noble-like. Makes the rest of us look bad… Cih."
(Beside, we kinda needed their son to born so we could have our bestie again!!!)
Bracket, I am sorry to inform you, but Cable's mom is not Jean…
(Whaaa!!! You kidding! You actually kidding me!!!)
'His mom is her clone, well you could say that she still genetically her mom…'
(You kidding me! No way! No fucking Dude!!! I am shock!!!)
Maybe the author wanted her to actually be his mom now?
(Oh, let's hope so! Or I'll fucking riot him!!!)
Jean blinked in shock as she was quickly enveloped in Cyclops' arms, but her gaze shifted to Wade, her heart heavy. Rogue and Storm took the controls of the jet, now fully functional thanks to Jean efforts, surged upward, leaving the flooded wreck of the dam behind as they flew into the safety of the sky. As they ascended, Wade leaned his head back, staring up at the ceiling, trying to ignore the nausea.
Logan looked over at Wade, nodding with a mix of respect and exasperation. "Nice work, kid."
Wade wiped his mouth with the back of his hand, utterly drained. "You're welcome! Now, if you don't mind, I'm just gonna... die here... for a bit."
"I though you are not dying? Whatever you do—"
"Shut up Ken, let me die in peace! Uhuk! Don't forget to fee—urggh..."
"NOOOO!!!! WAAAAADEEEE!!! STAY WITH ME YOU SON OF A BITCH!!!"
"DON'T CALL OUR MOTHER THAT YOU FUCKER!!!"
Laura hit the back of Ken head, looking really irritated. "He was joking! You dumbass! Both of you!!!"
"Heh! Finally! I wasn't the one that got hit up in the head!!!"
Just as Wade said that Logan hit him in the back of his head. "Awww! What's that for Pops?"
"Stop messing with your brother."

The White House was abuzz with tension. The President McKenna stood behind his desk in the oval office, his prepared speech clutched tightly in his hands. A sea of faces stared back at him—journalists, government officials, security detail—all waiting for the words that could reshape the country's stance on what happened lately.
He cleared his throat, his palms sweating. The lights overhead flickered, causing a brief murmur in the room. Just as the President opened his mouth to begin, everything stopped. The air grew unnaturally still, and the room fell silent. It wasn't just a silence of anticipation—it was total, absolute stillness. The room was frozen in time, except for the President himself.
His eyes darted around in rising panic. Before he could even process what was happening, shadows shifted near the edges of the room, and from them, figures emerged.
"Good evening, Mr. President," a calm voice said, breaking the eerie silence. "Please, don't be alarmed. We're not here to harm anyone."
McKenna stiffened. "Who are you people?"
"We're mutants."
A man in a wheelchair rolled into view, his presence commanding but not threatening. "My name is Charles Xavier. Please, sit down."
"I'd rather stand."
"Rogue."
A woman with a white streak in her hair stepped forward, boots clicking against the floor. She held a folder in her gloved hand, her expression unreadable. Without a word, she handed it to the President. "These are the files from Stryker's private offices," she said coolly. "Proof that not all of us wanted this war."
"What you're about to read will explain everything," Professor Xavier continued, his voice resonating through the still air. "Humans and mutants alike have suffered because of the actions of a few. There have been casualties on both sides, all in the name of a conflict that needn't exist."
President McKenna flipped through the files, his hands trembling as he read the evidence of Stryker's atrocities. Names, experiments, battle reports—too much to process at once. His mind swirled with questions, guilt, fear. The very people he was about to condemn had just saved the world, and here they were standing before him, asking for peace.
"How did you get this?"
"Well, let's just say I know a little girl who can walk through walls."
"I've never seen this information."
"We are well aware of that, Mr. President..."
"Then you also know I don't respond well to threats."
Professor Xavier's gaze softened, though the weight of his words remained. "Mr. President, this is not a threat. This is an opportunity. There are forces in this world, both mutant and human alike... who believe that a war is coming." He stopped for a second before continuing, "You will see from those files that some have already tried to start one... and there have been casualties. Losses on both sides.."
Before the President could respond, a figure at the back—a guy in a red and black mask—raised his hand like a kid in class. "Uh, I know this is super dramatic and all, but quick question—do you think now's a good time to promote my band? It's an all mutant's member band, we're called—HuMPf"
He was cut off mid-sentence as a large metal hand clamped over his mouth. The owner of said hand, a towering man made of steel, looked apologetic as he silenced the masked man, whose muffled protests continued regardless. Red and Black's muffled protests earned only a bemused look from Professor Xavier, while the President looked on, still too shocked to process what was happening.
"Mr.President... what you were about to tell the world is true— this is a moment. A moment to repeat the mistakes of the past... or to work together for a better future. We're here to stay, Mr.President. The next move is yours. We'll be watching."
The guy who almost killed him, stepped forward and laid a hand on Professor Xavier's shoulder, teleporting the group out of the room in a blink of smoke and shadow. In an instant, the mutant were gone, and time resumed its normal flow.
"Mr. President?" a voice from the crowd asked, pulling him back to the present. The room buzzed back to life, the journalists shifting, unaware of what had just transpired.
"Mr. President?"
McKenna blinked, momentarily dazed. The speech he'd spent weeks preparing now felt like a hollow shell. He stared at the folder in his hand, the truth laid bare. This wasn't just about control or fear anymore. It was about survival—coexistence with eachother.
And the message was clear.
Mutants were here to stay.
I never understood why Jean didn't let Kurt to save her or like fly her self away too with the jet, like... Gurl! Your power could do all that! This self-sacrificial idiot is really getting on my nerf!
