Lucia shut her mouth as she didn't know what to reply to Gastone. Deep inside, she wanted him to pursue her, to prove to himself that he was worth dating and not act like he was fine with them not being together.
"Nothing! Nevermind! Hmph!" Lucia shouted as she looked away. She was extremely annoyed that she wanted to cry like a child.
"We will have a hard time if you can't communicate what you want to say," Gastone said with a deep sigh. He was frustrated, but he decided it wasn't worth it.
Lucia didn't reply, and silence fell between them. The ride became awkward until they reached the flower shop.
Gastone parked the car by the entrance, but still, no one said a word to one another. Lucia glanced at Gastone and saw him gripping the steering wheel tightly, making the veins in his arms more visible.
"Life is a journey to be experienced, not a problem to be solved."
