บท 8: Chapter 8
I woke up in a bed of wetness, my heart was racing, sweat was pouring off of me, as I scream. Dammit now I'm having nightmares about jerk. I sit up in my bed looking around, realizing that i'm safe. As I was settling back down, my parents bust in my room; my father with his sword drawn, my mother with her sai's out. My mother ran over to me " Alora are you ok, we heard you scream". "I'm fine mother, it was just a nightmare". They both let out a sigh, then relax their bodies. Father puts his sword up and walks over to me, "Are you sure you're ok princess, you're still shaking". "Im f..i..ne father", as I stutter. "Its ok, princess, you're safe, as he kissed my forehead. "I'll have a look around, then i'm going back to bed", then he walked away. Mother looked at me," Alora, was your nightmare about Jack?" I look at my mother and mumble," Yes mother". "Alora its ok, there's nothing to be ashamed of, you've been through something traumatic". "Let's get you back to bed", you need your rest". I lay back in my bed as my mother tuck me in and kiss my forehead.
It was dawn, midnight was tired from her journey, Aubree pushed her to make it there by dawn. As midnight calms, Aubree jumps off of her, hand her an apple and began to walk to the gate. Lord Cletus new second in command Malik walks to the gate," What is your purpose here witch?" "I swear you vamps are so rude, is this how you treat someone King Titus invites here?', as she hold up the envelope Jackson gave her. Malik rolls his eyes as he open the gate "Dam Witches", he mumbles as he starts walking to the Castle. Aubree grabs midnight reigns and follow him as she smirks. Aubree leaves midnight at the entrance of the castle, " I need her fed and rested" she says as she looks at Malik. Malik stops and turn to her, " Do I look like a stable boy to you Witch!?" as he hisses. Aubree smirks,"I see someone has an attitude problem, or did I say something to get under your skin?" Malik stares at Aubree, he started thinking, this witch is very beautiful but, shes trying to get under my skin, it's too fucking early in the morning for this shit. Let me just get her to the study, because I swear, if I spend longer than 10 minutes with her, I'm going to cut her tongue out. Malik turn around without saying another word and walked away. Aubree giggles as she follows him. When he reached the study door, he stops and open the door. Aubree walks in and turns to him, " What's your name vamp?" Malik clears his throat, "That's none of your concern witch, I'll let King Titus you're here", then he close the door. Aubree walk over and make her a drink. As she sips her drink, she is thinking about the smart mouth vamp.He is very handsome, from his platinum blonde hair, to his baby blue eyes. He had a style about him that made me interested in finding out more about him. Looks like I found something to occupy my free time while im here .While Aubree was contemplating on how to get more friendly with Malik, King Titus walked in, "Aubree, I'm pleased to see you made it here safe". " Your majesty, I received your letter, i'm here to assist you in any way possible", as she curtesy. "We will discuss everything when Lynia and Alora wake. I will have Marcel show you to the guest chambers so you can rest".
The sun is shining in through the window landing on the bed. Tristan and Lynia was woken up by a knock on the door. Malik walks in," Sir Tristan, King Titus requested Lynia presence, a witch arrived at dawn". Lynia turns and look at Malik, " Let King Titus know i'll be there as soon as I get dressed". "Lynia you don't have to meet with King Titus, he requested your presence in the witches chambers". Lynia sits up in the bed, " Malik her name is Aubree, she is a special friend we invited here, I hope you do treat her like so". Malik has a apologetic look on his face," i'm sorry Lynia you're right, she is a guest". I'll leave you to get ready", then he walk out their chamber.
Lynia gets dressed and walk to the guest chambers on the east of the castle. She walks into Aubree chamber, and stand in front of her bed. She stares at Aubree for a sec, "Im glad you made it here so swiftly, but you didn't have to arrive so early". Aubree open her eyes and turn towards Lynia, " it's good to see you too Lynia, but why are you waking me up?" " Aubree don't start this shit with me, get your ass up so we can talk". Aubree gets out of bed, then stand up, " Oh Lynia, I forgot you're not a morning vamp/witch, now inform me about what's going on around here". "I cannot tell you, there are ears around here, you know what you have to do". Aubree eyes started glowing, her hair turn white, she then walk over to Lynia and put her hand on her shoulder. She went through Lynia memories until she finds what she's looking for. She released Lynia shoulder, and her eyes and hair return to normal. "Well, this is interesting, You've been keeping a lot of secrets from me. You should have sent for me sooner , a lot of this would have not happened. I will train her, but we have something else to talk about". Aubree walk to the bed and sit down and cross her legs. "Now dear sister, tell me about you being with child", as she smirks. Lynia looks at Aubree with a shocked look on her face.
I woke up still feeling so tired, I still didn't get much sleep after that nightmare. I get out of bed, get my clothes ready and go take my bath. I walked out the bathroom, get dressed, style my hair, and began my neverending day. When I opened the door, Dez was standing there about to knock. I jump back in shock, almost tripping over my dress. As I regain my composure, I glare at Dez, " What the fuck Dez?, you scared the shit out of me". Dez started laughing, " I see you're jumpy this morning green eyes", then he smirks. "I'm sorry I Scared you, but your mother sent me to tell you not to go to class today. You are to escort Lady Sorsha to her class, then meet her in the guest chambers on the east side of the castle". "So you're the new messenger now?", I say teasingly. Dez walks closer to me, he was only inches away from my face, then he smirks," I'll take any job to see your beautiful face". I felt goosebumps all over my body, my face turned red from me blushing. I try to collect myself but Dez already seen me blush, " You know if you keep blushing, you'll be the same color as your hair". I look him in his eyes, " Don't flatter yourself Dez, I need to go wake Sorsha and see my mother". I move him out the way so I can pass, he then grab my arm, "After you're done with your daily activities, would you like to go to the beach with me?" I turn to him and smile, " I can't leave the castle after dark, but I will ask my parents". Then I walked away toward the kitchen to retrieve Sorsha and my breakfast. When I was walking to Sorshas chamber, I kept thinking about Dez. I'm pretty sure he's my Bloodmate, everytime he touches me I feel sparks flowing through my body. Shit even him being close to me gives me goosebumps and make me blush. I will have to ask mother about it, I hope she might have the answers. My thoughts was interrupted when I came up on the healers wing. When I walked passed I seen the fairy that was attacked by the troll the night before in the bed motionless. The healers cleaned her up pretty good, I could see her real hair color now that the blood was washed out of it. Her face and body was still scratched up pretty bad, they might need Marcel to help with healing her. I started back walking as I hurry to wake Sorsha. I walk into her room, put the tray on her bureau and start opening the curtains. "Sorsha, it's time to get up, you have class". Sorsha turn over in the bed, " Geesh Alora you hate mornings, why are you always here to wake me so early". I turn and smile, "Sorsha, you know the routine, class early in the morning. Why are you so suddenly so tired?" "I'm just tired of class, I can't wait until it's over." "Sorsha", as I walk towards the bed," We have 1 more year for class, it will be over before you know it". I grab her blanket and pull it hard, her body came tumbling out the bed. I started laughing so hard, I couldn't catch my breath. Sorsha looks up at me, and I could see she was mad, "Dammit Alora, that shit hurt!!" Still laughing, i'm trying to stop to answer her, but I couldn't stop. Sorsha got up off the floor and storm off to the bathroom to get ready. I finally stop laughing and catch my breath," I had to get you up, it worked didn't it?" I just hear mumbling coming out the bathroom, yup she's pissed, I thought. She walks out the bathroom, drinks her blood, and walk to the door," Come on, we have to get to class remember?", then she walk out the door. When we reached the door she stops, "Alora i'm not mad at you, i'm mad that you always get me good", as she smiles. "Come on, let's get to class". "Ummm Sorsha, I have a meeting with my mother, I will not be attending class". "Dam Alora, you got out of class 3 days now, what's going on?" " I don't know, but my mother sent for me; I will let you know what's going on later". I walk away and use my super speed to get to the guest chamber.
Meanwhile with Aubree and Lynia
Lynia is standing there shocked, " Don't fucking play games with me Aubree, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT", as she hisses. Aubree stand up and walk over to Lynia, " I forgot you have a temper, but I am older than you, remember that next time you talk to me like you lost your fucking mind!" "Yes you are with child, you're very early, but I did feel its lifeforce. I would suggest you drink as much blood as possible for the next month, its not going to be a vamp". Lynia stand there trying to process what her sister just told her. Tears started forming in her eyes, as it hits her, it's not going to be a vampire. Aubree put her hand on Lynia back and started rubbing it, " Lynia it's going to be ok, im here for you and your children no matter what happens. You're my little sister and you protected me all those years ago, I Promised you I would protect you forever, and I always keep my promises". Aubree turns and look at Lynia, " Lynia, don't tell anyone i'm your sister or my gifts, I need to do some snooping around here and it will be easier if no one knew". At that moment there was a knock at the door.
As I walk in the chamber I look at my mother, it look like she was crying. I narrow my eyes toward the witch in the room. The witch walks over to me and start examining me. She looked at my hands, my eyes, and my teeth. The last thing she tried to do is move my hair, to expose my birthmark. When she tried to move my hair, I jumped back, "Who the hell are you? What the hell are you doing?, and why are you examine me like this?" She smiles, "I see she has your temper Lynia". She then look at me, "Alora im here to train you with your gifts, now stand still so I can finish". I step back, " You're not going to touch me again unless you tell me whats going on". My mother walks over to me, "Alora calm yourself, shes a family friend, she will not harm you". " No mother, I demand to know what's going on, i'm tired of the secrets". The witch turns to my mother, "Should I tell her or you?" Mother looks at her and nod, " I think it's best if you tell her". The witch grabs my hand and lead me to sit on the bed, my mother follows. We sit on the bed, she is across from me and mother is next to me. She look me in my eyes, " Alora, everything im about to tell you cannot leave this room, until the time is right. My name is Aubree, i'm your mother's sister and I'm here to help." My mouth literally flies open, this must be a dream or nightmare. I stand up, "ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? Why haven't I met you before? "Alora!", mother yelled, sit your ass down and shut up! You always freak out and never let anyone explain. Yes she is my sister, i'm sorry I didn't tell you or introduce you to her, but there is more important issues to discuss right now". I take deep breaths to calm myself, " Im sorry mother I lost my temper", then I sat back down. Aubree looks at me, "Are you done having your little tantrum?, can I continue?"
When you were born, your mother sent for me to read you, my gifts are involving telekinetic abilities, I can read life forces, gifts, and much more. I came to see you, when I laid eyes on you, I knew you were special. There is a prophecy known among us witches, she will be born Witch, Vampire, Dragon, and Fairy blood harmonized into a beautiful symphony. On the day she will be born, the sky will cry tears of joy, but the sun will shine its brightest. Her power will be like no other, she will have no equal. The Realm will unite, all wars will end, she is our Queen. She will be recognized by 2 things, her four eye glow color and her birthmark, a symbol of a rose, behind her ear.
Aubree stops talking as she see the reaction on my face. "Alora, you are the Queen of the realm, they thought it was Laynia, but she did not possess the birthmark". I look at her with disbelief, " It can't be me, There is no fairy blood in me". Mother put her hand on my shoulder, " Alora, your father mother was a fairy". I turn to my mother " Mother why are you telling me this now?" "Alora you need to learn your gifts and train. Once you turn 18, everyone will be aware of your presence, you need to protect yourself". Aubree stands up, " I will start training you tomorrow, the first half of your class time. Then your mother will train you the second half. You will have to go to the weapon room and get some armor that you can move around in and a weapon. Do remember Alora, this conversation doesn't leave this room", then she walks out the room.
