บท 1: Prologue: Meeting?
Main Character Point of View:
How long has it been exactly?
Days? Weeks? Months? Years, possibly even more? Honestly.... Who knows? I lost track of time very long ago, right now I feel so darn empty, which makes sense considering the state I am currently in. I have found myself in quite the conundrum.
I don't even think I have a physical body anymore that's how bad the situation is, this is really absurd. All I can do is monologue inside my mind due to the sheer inactivity around me. I was literally stuck in a distorted space.
Everything around me swirled and distorted, the place I was in looked like one of those eldritch dimensions outside of reality you would see in Cthulhu mythos. I don't even have a body to move, yet somehow, I am conscious. It's as if my will and soul refused to just stop functioning.
This is all after my 'supposed' death, I was the rich heir of a massive conglomerate. My name is Nocyr Aglaed, I was assassinated during one of my family's numerous parties. What I am mad about most was that I died before I got married! That really sucks.
I sighed at my misfortune, man I wish I was at least reincarnated or transmigrated similar to those fanfictions I have read. Would make my life a lot less boring....
As I was contemplating my decisions in life and sulking about my misfortunes, I suddenly saw reality around me distort as everything goes white.
I couldn't help but shiver as I feel something or someone looking at me.
" ...Who are you?" I heard the seemingly white and empty void shudder and tremble as this voice echoed everywhere in all directions, the voice was very deep and terrifying. I try to find the source, but I can't as I don't have body to control.
I couldn't help but wonder about the identity of this mysterious entity.
" My name is "$%#*^*%@#$%^@", Young one." The being spoke, his voice carrying absolute power and authority as the void shuddered once more.
My eyes widened as the name the being spoke of was censored.
" Oh, yes. I had forgotten that mortals were unable to hear my true name. Its filtered to your ears due to the sheer power of the name itself. I am one of the Outer Gods, the Great Old Ones." The Outer God spoke once more with amusement.
My attention however was on something else....
CAN THIS GUY READ MY MIND?
" How amusing your prattling is mortal, Of course I could read your mind. I could even do this." The Outer God spoke and immediately I felt my entire being shift as I suddenly found myself with a body once more.
"Wait what?" I said shocked as I stared at my body, I felt alive again! I couldn't believe it; I was really back to life....
" Alive? Oh no you're not. I merely temporarily reconstructed your damaged soul and fixed it and gave you a temporary vessel." The Outer God spoke once more with its deep voice echoing everywhere across the void, I tried to look around in hopes of seeing him, but I found nothing.
I sighed and spoke.
"Still, you did do me a massive favour. Why did you do it?" I asked the being who helped me reconstruct and recover my soul.
"Hm, why you ask? Its due to the nature of your being, this is the first time in my eternal life had I seen a mortal reach all the way here, normally it would be impossible as you mortals cannot exist in this space where Higher Dimensional Existences dwell, much less a human." I heard him say with amazement in his voice.
"I see...." I said as I contemplated his words, then how the hell did I get here?
" That's what I would like to know..... Which is why I am going to do this...." He said, I was going to ask what he meant but I suddenly felt every fibre of my existence being inspected by this Outer God.
I saw all my memories flash right before my eyes as I felt him read my memories and my life in an instant.
WHAT THE FUCK???? I was angry, beyond pissed.
I get that he is an all-powerful Higher Dimensional Existence and all that but how could he breach my privacy like that?
I was about to yell at him, but I was stopped when hearing him speak again, the void trembling once more but this time with more Oomph.
"THAT WAS AMAZING!" The Outer God spoke excitedly to my confusion and complete surprise.
"What?" I couldn't help but spurt out as my rage slowly faded away.
" I had NO IDEA you mortals had created such wonderful things! That was a spectacular experience wonderful indeed!" The Outer God once again spoke joyfully his voice now louder as the void began to swirl with colours.
I couldn't help but take a double take, wondering what the heck he was talking about.
" I am talking about those stories you humans created! All those video games, comics, shows and animes! WHAT WONDERFUL PIECES OF ART!" The Outer God spoke even more excitedly as something began to materialize in front of me.
I couldn't help but gape at this, not only because of what he said but because of what materialized. It was the most horrifying and chaotic looking thing I ever seen.
This is biblical levels of horrifying. I was seeing some sort of chimera creature with dozens of eyes on its body staring me down, its size was beyond anything imaginable I feel my soul breaking and my mind going crazy for a second before it faded away, I felt as if the being that had appeared had used its power and saved me from utter annihilation of just being in its presence and gazing at its form.
" Holy...." I breathlessly spoke as I couldn't fathom what I was seeing and what was happening, it was all happening so quickly...
"My mistake, I believe I had gotten a tad bit too excited and manifested a vessel into this Dimensional Existence and almost killed you, it's been trillions of eons since I had last spoken with a mortal and forgot that they could not tolerate my presence... I truly apologize!" Spoke the Outer God who looked somewhat apologetic.
"Seriously?" I spoke to the Eldritch Horror with a deadpanned expression. For an Outer God, he had a very interesting personality that's for sure.
The Outer God coughed before speaking once more.
"Yes, Sorry about that. Anyways, there is something we must discuss of utmost importance." The Outer God spoke seriously.
I couldn't help but gulp at that.
"What?" I asked.
The Outer God remained silent as he seemed to be in deep thought.
"You have to teach me how to play video games, if you do, I will reward you. Do we have a deal?" The Outer God spoke to me after a long moment of silence.
"WHAT???" I yelled out in disbelief at what I just heard.
And that's how I spent a couple years playing video games with an Outer God.
