“You just stay there, Komatsu. Leave everything to me now,” said Arakaki.
With those words, he ran toward Hana.
“I’ll leave it to you, my prince,” replied Komatsu briefly, smiling at his back.
Arakaki ran across the arena, vaguely hearing the crowd cheering for him, but he was too focused to make out what they were saying.
“Impressive. I can’t believe you’re slashing all the rocks I threw at you. But don’t think this is the end!” Hana said.
She began preparing another chant, and soon a few more rocks began floating—more than before.
With her magic shield, mud floor, and floating rocks, she was a tough opponent. What should I do? Arakaki thought as he ran.
A couple of rocks sped toward him, but his reflexes allowed him to dodge them.
“Impressive, but this is the end!” Hana declared.
Just as Arakaki wondered what kind of attack she would use next, the floor beneath him turned into mud, and rocks flew toward him at high speed.
“Damn it!” Arakaki cursed.
