“And now, onto the next one!” the announcer shouted, his voice loud enough to reach Arakaki and Komatsu, who were standing in the waiting room.

There wasn’t much in the room—just rows of lockers and participants waiting their turn for the match.

“How about it, Komatsu?” Arakaki asked with a smile, glancing at her face while they sat on the bench. “How about grabbing some lunch before the next match?”

Stretching her arms, Komatsu’s red hair glimmered under the sunlight streaming in from outside.

She hummed thoughtfully before replying, “Alright, we still have one match before we can go to our room. Let’s eat!”

“Right,” Arakaki replied, touching his chin. Then, smirking and holding back a laugh, he added, “Let’s go to our new favorite spot. I’m sure they’ll be surprised to see us.”

Komatsu tilted her head, standing there as if she didn’t know what he was talking about.
