“What is it this time, boy?” Fier turned to ask.
“N… Nothing. It’s suddenly cold in here.”
“You both can stop chatting now.”
As his subordinates were having small talk, Black Wizard gently warned them without turning around to look. The two then smiled sheepishly before returning to standing straight like before, waiting to be let onto the stage.
“Fattened up a lot, huh?”
Everything quieted down until the only sound left within the tunnel was the cheers of the fans outside. It was then that Black Wizard spoke up loud enough to let Joke hear. When his rust-colored eyes glanced to look at him from the corner of his eyes, he realized that the other party was looking at him as well.
“I mean that White Dragon. Had fun leveling it up, I suppose?”
Joke was momentarily stunned by his remark, but then he chose to smile and lightly chuckled.
“Not much. Something happened and complicated things. I can only hope that today will go better than earlier.”
