บท 144: Chapter 143- The suspicion

Gerald's eyes narrowed and his face darkened.

"Huh… why do you care? You must be coercing her in the same way you did to me." She clenched her fists and walked away.

When she first met Yasmin, she had studied her well. She realized that the girl was innocent and perfect for Declan. For the first time, she was pleased with Gerald's decision to pair Declan with someone so pure. Otherwise, she would have done something to break his marriage. She wouldn't have let her son suffer in an unwanted, forced marriage.

She became sadder as she recalled the past and felt pain in her stomach. A layer of cold sweat covered her face and nape. With her shaky hands, she took out some pills from her purse and swallowed them as soon as she got into the car.

"Take me home," she said to the driver, who quickly drove away.
