Orion was actually confused. Seriously at a loss. He'd never been summoned by someone by accident. That just didn't happen. You had to read the book. If you read part of it out loud, it started the ritual. Then you had to put blood on the page to sign the agreement. She was not what he was used to dealing with, and he normally dealt with women. Just how it was and the constraints he had. How had she ended up with his book? Though time had clearly moved on since the last he was summoned. Perhaps he had been put in storage like asked. He hadn't really paid attention to the sounds around him as he slumbered in the pages. Honestly she seemed like an ordinary human, another first.
She was an average woman with a pretty face. Her hazel colored eyes were sharp and intelligent. He didn't get the sense of malice from her or darkness like his normal masters. However what was done, was done and they were now in a contract. She had to play by the rules and so did he. She'd want something they always did. He could get them things. Help them gain power in many ways. He'd killed a great many throughout history for others it was his deal. He'd been stuck like this because of who and what he was. Probably not the only being in the history of existence to have this happen, but he didn't know of anyone else. He'd been alone and stuck like this, other than hearing his mother's voice from time to time. He was still angry and annoyed at her too.
"Pretending I am not here, is not going to change anything." He told her kind of annoyed. He'd never been ignored like this either. He'd been treated like a piece of property a huge portion of his life now. Ignored in the way his opinion didn't matter, but not like he didn't exist. She didn't even have an assignment for him. This might be a long while and he wasn't sure how he felt about this. They turned though once they realized, all of them did.
"Yes it will. If the others don't see you then you are in my head." She said looking forward and driving the car. He knew what it was but never seen it before. He needed to assimilate knowledge a bit faster than just by seeing it. He reached over and picked up her phone. Once he touched it he knew what it was and how to operate it. Having talents and abilities helped you greatly when you were out of touch for long periods of time.
"Hey, what are you doing?" She demanded clearly wanting to reach for it, but was driving. He stared at the phone for a moment and the screen suddenly started flashing rapidly. His eyes were black. Solid black, and Kora just looked back at the road. Holy shit she had a demon in her car, that shit was true.
"Almost there." She said to herself and felt like she might have a breakdown. He set her phone down in the cup holder.
"This world has changed." Orion got all the information he needed. Kind of nice being what he was. Just sucked that he was stuck as he was.
"I hope they have some magic pills." She said and he looked at her.
"For what? You are not sick. I sense no sickness. If you were, you'd have but to ask to be cured of it. I could do such a thing for basic needs. Or I'll find one and bring them to you that can.. It is why I'm here after all, to serve you in whatever way needed."
"I don't want a servant!" She shouted at him. She had parked the car and looked right at him. "I don't want one, I don't need one. I am perfectly capable on my own. You can't have my soul if that is what you are. If I'm insane, well you still can't have it. I am going in there to have my head checked. You can just disappear off into nothing or go that way and keep walking."
"Is that an order?" He asked again dryly. She made a frustrated sound and got out of her car and marched up to the office there. He followed behind her watching her. She had yet to actually say she was giving an order. Unless she said he had to do what she said verbatim, he'd just have to ask if it was an order. If she didn't say yes or indicate it was indeed an order he didn't have too. He wasn't exactly happy being a slave to another's whims. So he didn't go out of his way most times for orders.
Kora opened the door and he used the door this time rather than just appearing places. He pulled open the next door following her. The place was small and she went up to the reception desk smiling at the woman. He looked at the nice interior and the green brown scheme.
"Hi, um I was hoping to make an appointment. Like today if possible."
"Okay, well we are full today. How about I take your information and why you are here." The short woman behind the counter said looking at Kora who gripped her purse a bit tighter.
"Nothing? I'm just really having a hard time right now. I feel confused and scared honestly. I'm seeing this man…"
"Oh so you are looking for couple counseling?" She asked. "We don't really do that here, but I can give you a number." The woman's gaze went from Kora to her left. Kora was speaking before she really thought about that. The significance of her eye movement toward where he stood.
"No, I don't I…"
"No? Hi." The receptionist greeted, clearly to the man following her. Kora was taken back.
"You see him?" The woman laughed.
"Of course, so what are you looking for?"
"She isn't looking for anything." The man replied and the woman's gaze seemed to glaze over as he spoke. She just sat still not moving. He looked at Kora with a darker expression.
"I think you and I need to have a conversation. I am real, I am here and I remain unseen because that is how it normally works. Those who call me, don't want others to know I am here. You have called me here, and now you will deal with it as I must. I am not going anywhere, and if you try to make me it isn't going to end well for either of us. Do you understand?" She was looking up at him, and he'd stepped closer to her. Her eyes were wide and it had been a while since he'd spoken to someone as he was. Like he was in charge, kind of felt good to be honest. Rather than have orders spouted at him.
"This is insane." She turned saying nothing to the woman and he looked back at the receptionist. He just erased her memory of the two of them because that wouldn't be helpful for others to know. He had no idea how things were going to play out with this Kora. Maybe this situation could help set him free of the bindings, but he doubted it. Still, never had anything like this before. He actually felt like rubbing his forehead following her out of the building. What a simple human.
