บท 110: I Cannot Lose Her

Ilyan extended his hand to take that paper from Jake. His eyes went to Jake for a fraction of a moment while he was unfolding the paper and for some reason, the discomfort on Jake's face seemed more awful than it had ever been.

"Mom's prescription," Ilyan murmured, reading Christina's name on the prescription by Dr. Stone. His gaze lingered upon it for a moment or two before he hurriedly folded it back and dropped it in his pocket. He looked at Jake, rising on his feet. "Where did you get this?"

Jake's head stayed bent and his gaze fixed at the ground. "The cleaner found it in Ma'am car and since she wasn't home, he brought it to me."

"Alright, I'll give it to her," Ilyan said, putting a period to the conversation then and there.

Ilyan waited for Jake to leave but he did not move an inch from his place. Deep down, Ilyan knew that Jake knew but he did not touch the topic.
