บท 55: Flashback Chapter One | Growing Insecurities and Unresolved Conflicts

January 1, 2015, 11 a.m.

"Hey, beautiful!"

Ayden stopped in his tracks in his college corridor. Not at the words spoken. Not at the person who spoke them. But at the laughter that he heard in response to them. The laughter that was quite familiar to his ears!

His feet slowly advanced in the direction from where those voices came. He walked along the wall and paused right before the node came. The voices became clearer as he reached closer and his prediction turned out to be true.

It was indeed Irene's laughter that he had heard.

"So... you are sure about this? I mean, you ARE ready to leave him, right? I mean I am going to be ecstatic if you do but I am not sure about... without you... how is he going to... um you know what I mean, right?"

Ayden's heart skipped a beat as he let out an incredulous gasp. Leave whom? Him?
